....codes are worth their "wait" in gold!

....Room-only ressies beat packages almost every time!

....God is the only one who knows whether you can re-fill, your re-usable mugs on future trips! Same thing for pool-hopping!

....it's better to leave your "mousekeeper" a tip, than to leave the room safe unlocked.

....it's hot, humid and crowded at WDW in July!

Feel free to add to the list.

Thanks to the DIS Boards, I've learned....

-that you can wake up Tink at Tinker Bell's Treasures (my daughter loved it!)

-the WISHES cruise is not to be missed!

-how to arrange for my dad to be Veteran of the day at the MK! (a tear jerker yet memorable event.)

-arrive at the parks early and you will get lots accomplished.

-GOH badges bring extra neat attention!

-December is a magical time at WDW!

-Lots more but this is a start.

No matter which resort you're thinking of staying in, someone else has and had a wonderful time there!

That CM's are just like you and I. We have good days and bad days and for the most part, they are good days!

Just when you think you can't take another step in that direction, Mickey Mouse shows up and you find yourself running to meet him!

That these boards are so much better than any book published. Everyone has a story and an answer to your question. For that, we are all grateful! :grouphug:

Thanks to the DIS board I have learned everything I have needed to know (SO FAR) about how to survive Disney :+)

Thanks To everyone for all the great help

Thanks to the DIS boards,

I have become the official Disney planner for my friends. DB is still the planning king for the family (although I'm a close second)

Learned how to get the CRT breakfast ressies.

Found a new way to pass the time at the computer.

Make the most of our times at Disney, even when only there for a day or 2.

Became an AP holder and a DDE member. DVC was a thought until I bought the FL house.

I love this thread! Thanks to the Disboards I've learned..............
there are initials for everything ever created at Disney!
there are many people willing to take the time to answer questions,
there are many neat secrets to the Haunted Mansion,
travel agents can even help those of us who are compulsive planners,
and finally....
the magic of Disney is alive when you take the time to look at things through the eyes of a child.

New and helpful everytime I'm on the Dis. :goodvibes :sunny: :earsboy:

I've learned just about everything I need to know to have the most "MAGICAL" vacation ever.

I've learned to try to leave a little pixie dust everywhere I go.

I've learned to leave the adult in me at home for at least 8 days, and become a child again.

I am forever grateful to everyone on these boards. Thanks fo all your help.

Thanks to the DIS, I know special things to do that others don't know about until it's too late. Like Illuminations Cruises, Pirate's Cruises and CRT :)

Another meaning for the word CODE (DH is an ER doc ;)) He cringes whenever I say code to him!

That codes CAN be wonderful things (see above )

That even my girls can get into the planing of a Disney trip (DD9 carries the UG everywhere we go and reads aloud from it, making it, and Disney a learning tool. Right?

That I hate to be gone from the house for more than 5 hours at a stretch because I lose track of some of my favorite threads on this board :rotfl:

What a counter/ticker is, how to cut and paste one into my signature, that some counters can be bad for me and that my new one has just changed from reading in months to reading in days

Love Y'all!

What I've learned from the DIS:
The value of AP's (though dh still isn't sure how they save us money....we're up to 4 trips a year now!)
The best days/ways to tour the parks
That I'm not the only compulsive vacation planner out there!
That there are lots of good people still in the world, willing to send a postcard to a child, pray for others, and hand out unused FastPasses to those in need.
Thanks everyone!

I've learned that Disney magic spreads way beyond Orlando to such places as Illinois, Monroe Township, the Texas convoy down I-10, Savannah, New York City, Michigan, and every little town that no one has ever heard of until this board! :goodvibes

Just stop and look at all of the various places that the people live who help each other here.

I've learned:

-about Illuminations Cruises
-about the "kitchen sink" at B&C
-about the "Mickey wake-up call"
-about Bob, the Piano player at POR
-about the Flag Family at WL
-about the AP Preview for Osborne Lights (and other perks to having an AP)

if I thought for a while, I know there are more!

other message boards are a nice place to visit.... but the DIS boards are my home! ~:p~

That each and every one of us have no lives and really take this all WAY too seriously. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

that there are a lot of people that know WAY more about WDW than me. and they live a lot farther away than I do. :earsboy:

I've learned that I'm not alone...there are thousands of other "Disney nuts" out there just like me and I'm glad y'all have found the DIS!!!

COntrary to what my family thinks of me, I've learned I am NOT insane for researching every little detail of which attraction is open, where to find a good but inexpensive snakc in the park, where the "best" bathrooms are, which rides pose potential problems for family members, and which day/time is best to attempt a particular part of Disney.

Hey, researching these things is half the fun for me. First time I went back as an adult (only one visit as a little kid in the 70's), I went straight to the bookstore and got a copy of the Unofficial Guide even though I didn't know what it was and just thought it looked cooler than Birenbaums. I spent two months learning all about the "World" and relishing what each and every experience would be like. Little did I know the UG was a sort of bible to Disneyaniacs. :)

J;)

P.S. Ok maybe I'm a little crazy. I'm up on these boards when I have to leave in the AM for my week long trip back. I feel like a kid anxiousy awaiting Santa Claus!!!

Thanks to the DIS, I've learned:
- the value of joining AAA!
- how to get the lowest price on a rental car!
- where to send picture emails from the parks
- where to watch Illuminations and Wishes
- about Off Kilter!!
- about back stage tours
- about renting the speed boats
- how to get high scores on Buzz Lightyear
- the necessity of intense planning to make the most of a WDW vacation!
