Thanks to Generous Stranger

I just wanted to throw out a thank you to a generous stranger on our last trip.

Our first day in DL, a gentleman came up and asked if we had done a breakfast in the park yet and if we were going to be there for more days. We said no, and I didn't really know what he meant by breakfast in the park. He handed us an envelop and said it was their last day and they hadn't used all their vouchers yet. We said thanks without really knowing what he was giving us.

It turns out that it was 5 breakfast in the park vouchers. We were able to use all of them and that saved us about $55 on our trip

I figured if he's on here, he'd see it, and if not, others who do similar things would like to know people appreciate those little gestures.
They were no good to him, he could have just garbaged them, but he chose to approach us and give them away.

Something very similar happened to us two years ago at our hotel on our 1st day. We met a lady and her son at the hotel pool. She said it was their last day there. The next morning, we discovered that she had stopped by our room and slid her remaining meal vouchers under our door. I don't remember how many were in the booklet now but I think all of the snack vouchers were still there and there were enough meal coupons for 2 or 3 meals I think (For 3 people).

Funny part is that by the end of our trip, I still had a couple snack tickets left so I gave them to a Dad with a couple kids we met at breakfast our last day.

I am a big believer in "pay it forward", he probably had something generous happen to him and now he's *paying it forward*. That's awesome!! It's nice to see it being practiced.

We always give away fastpasses at the end of the day too. A couple times people wouldn't take them because they thought they were not good anymore because it was past the return time. We tried to explain that it didn't matter, trust us, but they thought we trying to pull something. What that would be, I dunno...

We gave a couple 2 of our leftover FP's for Indy......they were thrilled!!!! I approached people 3 other times and no one would take them. Weird, huh??

That was darn nice of him. Years ago we had some $ off coupons for tickets. My wife had a few extra,so offered them to a family. They were kinda leery at first (how much?).My wife told them "they're free". Made their day.
