Thanks for your advice to justhat on infant plane tickets. I had always purchased my tickets online and there wasn't anyway to purchase an infant ticket on Delta's site. I had figured it would be 1/2 the most expensive fare til I read your tip. So I called Delta and got the same price for the other 5 tickets as online and got the infant seat at $100 off that. That will buy a few Mickey Bars!

So it is worth a call before buying a seat for a child under 2!

Wow - was I surprised when I saw the title of this thread! I am mostly a lurker here so I certainly don't see my name pop up very often.

I am so glad you were able to save some $$$ on your infant's plane ticket - every little bit helps. I have learned more than I really wanted to know about the ins and out of buying infant seats over the last 3 years and it makes it all the more worthwhile when I can share the info with others.

I just posted a response on your double stroller thread too. Hope you can come up with a solution that works for your family - it really is a hard decision to make as there are just not enough options out there.
