I live here in Florida and made a quick trip to WDW the week OF Thanksgiving. Monday-Wednesday was not bad at all. However the weekend after Thanksgiving was a different story. BUSY BUSY BUSY! Actually the BEST time to go is the first week in December. Rates are low, the parks are slower with less crowds and the Chirstmas decor is up and it is BEAUTIFUL! Also they film the Christmas parade the first weekend as well. You may get a glimps of that! My son was in awe (he's 3) when Santa's Sleigh came riding past on a float!

Sales? Oh yes! The day after Thanksgiving is called "Black Friday", crazy sales are everywhere, people lined up to get into the stores at the crack of dawn. For a lot of people, it's a must-do tradition, not me! I hate crowds!

Ditto that!!! I have never been to the parks on Thanksgiving, but I wouldn't get near a mall the Friday after to save my life. Every year there is some newsvideo showing fools stampeding over others on their quest for the newest, coolest must-have Christmas toy. The sales are usually decent but it isn't worth battling the crowds for a $27 DVD player. Saturday is often just as bad.
