Thanks for the shout out to us up here on the Podcast.
I am up here in Northwest NJ and we finally got our power back, we are lucky as I had gotten a generator right before the storm hit. So we were able to intermittently heat our house and use our well for water. We hosted many friend throughout this ordeal, it is surprising what a hot shower and cup of tea can do for some people. they would show up cold and quiet and after a shower, food and some tea would be laughing just like normal. Many people in our area are still without power and when I woke up 2 days ago it was 16 degrees out. The power companies are overwhelmed and are totally unable to manage the restoration effort. I heard several Linemen on the radio last night that stated that they have the manpower on the ground but they are not being managed well at all.
