Hi everyone! I am a new poster to the board, but I have been reading for quite some time. I just wanted to thank you all for being such an inspiration to me about planning a Disney Wedding! My boyfriend of four years and I have talked a lot about getting engaged soon and I can't wait to plan my wedding at Disney! My family are Disney fanatics and I have wanted to get married at Disney since I was a little girl. I already have a lot of it planned in my head haha! I want a ceremony in the wedding pavillion, reception in the Whitehall Room perhaps, MK photoshoot, Cinderella's carriage, and a rehearsal dessert party at Italy in Epcot! Well just thought I'd introduce myself and say thanks. Happy wedding planning!

Anyone have a rough idea of what this kind of wedding I described might cost for around 50 guests? Thanks!

You're welcome to lurk here anytime!! Most of us started the same way and are more than happy to talk your ear off about DIsney weddings. A rough guess right now on the money you'd need for a wedding you described:

Wedding Pavilion $3k
Cindy's Coach $2500
MK Photo Shoot $1000
Dessert party at $35 ppn for food and viewing fees plus all the extras $4000
Food and beverages per guest at the Grand for Dinner $125 plus 20% service fee and tax so about $8k for 50 ppl
then all the other stuff like pictures, video, flowers...
So I'd say $20k. You can definitely do something really nice for less than that too, but that's a good starting point if you want exactly what you mentioned. I know a lot of people spend a lot more than that too. We'll be at about $8k for 20 people with an Escape wedding, dinner and private fireworks cruise on the Grand 1.

Also plan on prices at Disney going up every year!

I started as a lurker too (hence the screen name), and there is no way I ever would have thought we could have a DFTW without all the help I got from this board.

Disprincessatheart gave you some great info on prices. What you can do as it gets closer is mock up a budget using those and other prices you'll learn about on the board. Ours even calculated the service charge and tax on things we knew we'd have, which gave us a pretty accurate picture of our costs.

Welcome!! I'm mostly a lurker too (although I peek out now and then, and REALLY need to start my PJ), and I have to say I probably wouldn't have half the info I have if it wasn't for the people on this board! It's an awesome place to be!!

I don't know about WDW but for Disneyland in Cali the pricing is outdated on mouseweddings, although we were very excited when we found it and could start to at least begin imagineering how much my Indybride's wedding was going to cost!

Yep, it's definitely outdated, but it does give you an idea!

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone! I am already getting addicted to this website!! It is so much fun to read. I can't wait for my Disney Wedding one day, and the price mentioned seems pretty reasonable for such a Dream-Come-True Wedding! Thanks again for all the great info
