Thanks for the recent Niagara Falls help, but I think I made a ****oo!

Okay, I don't have any advice...

Just had to say that I just spent the last 5 minutes trying to figure out why the title of this thread was ****'d out!:lmao::lmao:

D'oh!!

Question for those of you who live close. Is this a 3 day doable trip? We would have five days all together but would need 2 to drive roundtrip.

Is there a site that gives a good game plan? My kids are 14, 11 and 6. They are use to a busy Disney day so they could handle alot in one day.

Thanks.

3 days is plenty. You could do all the best things in even 2. What I would do is get the magic pass and do everything on there. Depending on hw long you linger at the butterfly conservatory it could be done in a day or maybe 1 1/2 days if you take your time. Clifton hill is more exciting at night so that's when I would do it. Skylon is kind of cool but one of those things that once you go up and see everything you've done it. My suggestion is to have lunch in the restaurant there as its nice and lunch is less expensive than dinner. They have a kids menu too. I hate Marineland with a passion but thats only because I think the animals look sad (ya...I'm weird...lol) so I wouldn't waste my time there. Never eat at the iHop at the top of Clifton hill. It's seriously the biggest rip off there which is saying a lot. Most of the museums seem like a rip off to me too so if you're going to do it there are so many coupons out there. Check your hotel lobby plus the coupon book that comes with the Magic Pass.

I work in Niagara Falls and its still off season, the weather is cold (even though we just had a little warm spell) and not a lot is going on. However there are some really cool waterparks if you need to spend some time with water. However the falls, will be significantly colder than other areas.

I live about 15 min from Niagara Falls. This week the weather has been AMAZING!! We were high 70's low 80's all week!! But the next week looks like its going to get cooler again... 50's and 60's.
I think 3 days is plenty. Its funny that people plan trips to go to Niagara Falls and people who live around here havent dont the Tourist stuff. I've lived here 33 years and have never done maid of the mist. A must is Clifton Hill! There are alot of different things for your kids. There are wax museums, haunted houses, movies, resturants, and shopping. They also have a great indoor water park at Great Wolf Lodge. Of course if you get a chance the casinos are always fun!
There is an aquarium on the american side. Its not very big. But its something to see!!
Have fun while your here! Guess us Western New Yorkers don't realize what is in our own back yard!!

Thanks again. And by the way, the title said I made a boo boo. Which is apparetly a bad word, when strung together. LOL.

I am sticking with our dates, but am taking the advice to get a fallsview room to heart. I can get a decent (?) rate at the Marriott Gateway on the Falls for about twice as much as our rooms at the Country Inn & Suites, but since we'll likely never be back and since the weather looks to be kind of sketchy, at least we can enjoy the falls from the comfort of our room if we're not able to stand being outside for long periods of time.

Just wondering if anyone else can back me up on this... or am I going to regret the switch?? I AM A VERY INDECISIVE PERSON and my husband does not care to discuss this with me. LOL.

By the way, my kids will love clifton Hill, so which hotel is within walking distance to those attractions?

Country Inn is about 5 min walk to Clifton Hill and Marriott is about 15-20.

Do you mean that the fallsview area, as in comparison to Clifton Hills will be colder? I am being naive I guess that the temperature is actually less at the area of the falls, but I suppose it does make sense.

Its always colder right next to the water plus there is all that mist. It can be very refreshing on a hot day but when it's already cold you may find yourself wanting your gloves when standing right next to the water
