I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed reading your posts on this board. They are highly entertaining :goodvibes and I have learned some extremely valuable information! As we are leaving on Sunday for our one week stay at Royal Pacific, I just have another question for you experts: How should we dress? Obviously, shorts. ;) I know it'll be *HOT* :sunny: to say the least. But, to be comfortable all day long - and to avoid walking around the parks wearing soggy socks/shoes after riding water rides. Also, I know that the parks have some water play areas for the kids. Bathing suits under their clothes? (I'm sure there's a dress code at the parks -- I HOPE there is!)

I sent a FAX with a request for certain rooms, thanks to your tips. Hopefully, I'll get lucky and get one of them. :)

I haven't made any priority seatings at restaurants because from what I have read, they really aren't necessary with our room key? (That helps, right?) We aren't dining at Emeril's or Tchoup Choup, and I thought those were the only places that basically demanded reservations.

Please correct me if I am wrong about anything. I definitely value the expertise of those on this board!!

Crossing my fingers for a safe trip to FL (we're driving from Charlotte) and a fun vacation without any mishaps! Also hoping for a GOOD day at the Magic Kingdom next Wednesday! :wizard:

We usually just wear quick drying clothes. Microfibre stuff is excellent as it is cool when it is dry and it dries so quickly. We also wear sandals that we don't mind getting wet.

I usually bring an older pair of Tevas for Water Ride Day; Mike brings flip flops. Mike will wear his swim trunks and a tank, and I wear a tankini top and "quick dry" shorts. Since you'll be there for a week, you can take one day just to get wet and not have to worry about trying to cram in all the other rides while you're still wet.

We take the boat back on Water Ride Day (yes, it's a proper noun :)). Normally, we walk, but chaffing is crummy on vacation so we don't chance it.

Also, you didn't make ressies, but don't forget that lots of other people will have hotel keys, and you could still wait 2 hours or so if you try to eat at peak times or when or near the parks let out for the night. This is mainly the case at Margaritaville. The HRC line usually moves pretty fast. If you have an All Access Card, that will butt you up to the front of the line, ahead of the hotel guests, and we've used this a time or two when we were hungry and didn't feel like waiting in the hour long HRC line. Pat O'Brien's usually has decent food and the courtyard seating usually isn't too bad of a wait. NBA City is nice because they advertise their wait times on a big sign outside. Sometimes it's a crap shoot during peak season.

Enjoy my favorite hotel, and have a safe and HAPPY trip! :)

Maybe will see you there!

I am wearing those quick dry clothes too, I found some made by danskin that are very light and comfy.

BTW, we are going to epcot on next wednesday..sea world on monday

My hubby and son wear their swimming trunks and tank tops. I wear tank top, quick drying shorts and a one piece bathing suit under them. We all wear quick drying sandals.
