It's good to be sitting down and reading the posts on the DIS boards again. My surgery went fine but I did have trouble with the Anes. part of the work. My recovery was longer because of it. My Surgeon came into see me before the operation with a Disney tie on so I would feel more confident, it worked. I hope now that these Kidney stones stop and that I get some improvment in my back so I can go to the best place in the world, WDW.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers, they did help. And, it is great to be back reading all your posts.

PS. One of the concerns was that I would loose my voice due to the location of the Adenoma, and my DW said that the first thing I asked was when are we going back to OKW.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and that the surgery went fine. I thing a trip to OKW would do wonders for your health. :D

Happy to see that all went well. I suggest recuperation at OKW? or at least plan out your next visit.

Welcome back!!! :) I am glad all is well, and hopefully, you will reap the full benefit of the surgery. NO MORE STONES!!!

Welcome Back and glad to hear that all went well with your surgery.....Has your next trip been planned yet?
The best place in the world for a full recovery would be at home at OKW..............

Glad everything went well. Here's to a quick recovery.

Welcome back, glad everything went well for you. Now that you've gotten rid of those nasty stones I think it's time to visit your home in WDW - it will help you recover that much faster - any excuse for a trip home.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi, Dennis!

I just came across your post - can I assume that you had a parathyroidectomy? If so, have you had your calcium checked since surgery? I'm sure you have, but in case you haven't, please be sure to do this. You may temporarily need calcium replacement therapy.

I think your problem with kidney stones will be history - usually when the surgery is done, the problem is gone. You should also be seeing an endocrinologist about this, if you haven't already (can you tell I work for one??)

In any case, I'm so glad you went ahead with surgery. You will undoubtedly feel much better now...but I know you'll feel even better once you get to Disney! That seems to cure all manner of ailments!!!

Hugs!
Susan;)

I am so glad that everything went well.

Here's to a speedy recovery........

:D

Glad to hear everything went well for you. Welcome back. I also think you need a little R&R at OKW!:sunny:

I haven't posted here in a LONG time, but just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery! I had basically the same surgery about 24 years ago and did just fine. I was generating huge kidney stones about every three months. Turned out that I had two benign tumors on my parathyroids. Since then, no more problems and no more stones!

I just realized I sound like some of the senior adults at our church.

Anyway, best wishes!:D

Glad to hear everything went well and you can look forward to your next WDW vacation!! Wishing you a speedy recovery and great Disney dreams!

Hey, I think you're on to something..........a recovery RESORT at WDW. I wonder if the HMO's would go for this. LOL! Glad to hear you are recovering well.
