We will be there for my birthday the first week of November. Does anyone know if grown up birthday girls get any special pixie dust? I want to go get the birthday pin just for a keepsake, but should I actually wear it? I appreciate those of you who have posted tips, and look forward to looking for all the secrets ::yes::

I would wear the button. It was nice being wished Happy Birthday by the CM's. I also had a Magical Moment on a ride and received a certificate. They sang happy birthday to me at dinner in Prime Time Cafe. I received a birthday call from Goofy in one of the parks.

My DH has had his birthday in the world! I wish I could...will never happen with school vacations!

Anyway, I have gotton the pin for him, he has had LOTS of CM's start conversations with him, wishing him a Happy B-day! He had happy b-day sung to him in line one time...can't remember what ride in MK.

He had a CM get a Happy b-day call from Goofy for him! He even got a free dessert at one place.

Yes, he wore his pin all week, and he had LOTS of fun with the special attention. We will be there for his Bday again this year, along with my will be 9 yr old DS's bday!

Don't go expecting lots of attention & be pleased & excited with what you get...after all you'll be in WDW!

Thanks! I was kind of feeling silly to even THINK about wearing the pin in the parks.. Now I will wear it without worrying that people will think I am silly! ( even though I have been known to be a little silly)

Two weeks from tomorrow!!!:Pinkbounc

DH wore his birthday pin with pride. But then, his DD's wouldn't have had it any other way. Got lots of birthday wishes. Anyone who loves Marvin Martian has to be way too cool to even look silly!

I didn't get so much attention, but then again, my birthday is a special day for everyone. No, not because everybody celebrates my birth, :jester: but because it's Valentine's Day.

However, I'll be trying it again next year, and we'll see what happens.

Wear the pin and have fun. It's your Birthday!! :flower3: Enjoy it as much as you can!! We're all big kids when we're at Disney.

I go every year for my birthday and wear the pins proudly. Some years I have gotten more attention than others, but I really don't care... I just do it cuz it makes ME feel good.

A lot of CM's notice and it's nice when they wish you happy birthday. I've gotten the call from Goofy... that is way cool... sometimes I get a cupcake or other little thing.... but mainly I wear the pin just because I feel special on my birthday and want to share my joy....

Sometimes CM's think it's my DD's bday... it's funny... Hello, I'M the one wearing the pin! But it doesn't matter.... I laugh it off, say it's my birthday with a big smile and keep enjoying my special time with my family in my favorite place....

It will be my birthday while at WDW for Thanksgiving week, too! I know, normally 38 wouldn't be that memorable, but this might be the only time I get to celebrate at Disney! When I made my PS for the actual b-day dinner, I told the CM we would be celebrating a birthday and they asked whose birthday, and without shame at all I proudly said it was mine! I'm just a big kid when I get into WDW so I am really looking forward to it. Besides, it will give my kids something to laugh about.

I celebrated my 38th at Disney as well. We had dinner at Boma, and they gave me a card signed by the chefs, as well as a cupcake with Happy Birthday written on the plate in chocolate.

Kungaloosh!

I just celebrated my DH's 35th at the Crystal Palace. He got a cake (which was the BEST cake!) and a card signed by all the Pooh characters. Plus, the parade of course. It was more of a thrill for my 3yo dd!

Oh yes! Wear the pin! Where else do you get to tell everyone it's your birthday? Adults never get birthday attention in the real world, but sometimes it's kind of nice to have it!

I was in the world for my birthday last year. I got quite a few happy birthday comments and the security guard at AK sang happy birthday to me.

Like others said, don't go in with too high of expectations, just enjoy being at WDW on your birthday. Then you'll be more surprised if magical things do happen! Oh, and be sure to stop by and see some characters. I stood in line to get a birthday hug from Mickey and got the birthday kiss you see in my signature photo that day too. Oh, and Snow White wished me happy birthday! :)

Happy Early Birthday!

I wanted to do a character meal at Crystal Palace (i am a pooh fiend) but felt silly doing that also. I wonder if it is too late?? Anyone have the number handy to call to make a PS?

Don't feel silly, have fun. It's probably nowhere near too late. 1(407)WDW-DINE.

Have Fun,
Morticia.

If they are booked, don't forget to try that morning too. Just pick up a resort phone and see if they have any openings for that day. They usually save a few for last minute reservations.

Dana, call the Disney Dining number. I don't have it handy. But, they'll make ALL your priority seatings. We did my husband's at the Crystal Palace. It was really cute.

I just celebrated my birthday there (10/18), I got the pin and had breakfast at Crystal palace, got a cupcake and a card signed by all the characters! Then at EPCOT I was purchasing a mickey premium bar and she gave it to me for free! and then at one of the boots of the Food and Wine festival (Spain) they gave me the Marcona Almonds (they where selling them for $0.50) and we had dinner at Boma and they gave me a card signed in diff. languages from africa from the cast members and a mickey shaped mini cake (vanilla) with chocolate frosting on top!
So definitely wear the pin and you won't regret it!, but keep in mind the free suff is optional and depends on the cast member entirely so don't expect the same stuff I got, I guess I got lucky! Did I forgot to mention I turned 30? so it's never too late!

We are going for my birthday this year. I already have my dinner planned at the Crystal Palace and told my husband I am doing the parade with Pooh.

We do I get the pin? I want one.

Refresh my memory... You get the pin at guest relations right?

Oh, and I booked a PS for Crystal Palace for my bday dinner too :) :)

yes, guest relations. There had been a thread on this board when we went a couple of years ago saying they were frowning on grown kids getting the pins. When we went to get DH's I asked if they gave them to 45 year old kids. They were very enthusiastic about giving one to him. We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour and the fireworks cruise for his birthday. Both were suprises to him until we were at the event.
