I am so looking forward to my "kid and DH free" girls weekend trip in July. One reason is I can lug my tripod and DH won't be there to complain about it and I won't be lugging "kid paraphanalia" so it won't be a problem to carry it. I'm going to need a whole day just to walk around taking pics of things I've wanted to take time and get a really good one of but haven't been able to yet.
Where were you and how long did you have to get there before Wishes started? We could only find a decent spot in Tomorrowland, and our view of the castle was not anything like what you had! It looks like you may have been at the train station, were you?
BTW, AWESOME pics!
I was in the middle of Main Street between Casey's and the Plaza restaurant. We got there about 30 minutes early I think. We had to wait for them to allow people in the street as Spectromagic had just ended.
Those are some awesome shots! As a follow up on your location, I am assuming you had a tripod (or else amazingly steady hands). Did you have any problems with people crowding or jostling the camera , or did you bring along a security cordon
Yes, I had a tripod. Post#4 has all the info on what I used - equipment and settings. And yes, I did have a couple of people with me who each stood in front of and to the side of the tripod, sort of creating a "zone" in front of the camera with no people in it. And in fact, there were no people for at least 10 feet in front of my camera. The street wasn't terribly crowded that night at that spot. And I think people were steering clear of me in general.
