I'll begin by saying, THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE POSTED BEFORE ME, YOU GREATLY ENCHANCED OUP TRIP AND ESPECIALLY OUR DINING PLANS!!!
We used the Dining Plan & stayed @ Port Orleans - French Quarter. There were our two girls, 7 & 4 and Mom & Dad. The girls 1st trip, our 2nd; (1995).
We began our trip on 10/29, arriving via Magical Express @ 9pm by buying the Refillable Mug.
On 10/30 - Animal Kingdom day; 8:05am reservation @ Tusker House.
Good food, great character interaction & good waiter. Seated right on time. Characters were Donald & Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse & Goofy.
We had snacks in Africa, pretzels & milkshakes in the early afternoon.
That evening, we had dinner in the dining hall @ PO-FQ. Mom had a sandwich, Dad had ribs/ chicken combo plate & girls had chicken nuggets. Everybody was happy but Mom's sandwich wasn't great
On 10/31 - Magic Kingdom day; 8:05am reservation @ Crystal Palace. Everything here was great & seated right on time! Characters were Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet.
We had snacks in the afternoon @ PO-FQ.
That evening @ MNSSHP about 5:15pm, we ate @ Cosmic Ray's. One girl had chicken nuggets & the other had salad w/ chicken. Dad again had the ribs/ chicken combo & Mom had the chicken sandwich. All meals were excellent. Great fixins bar!
We received a lot of candy pieces that night @ MNSSHP.
On 11/1 - Epcot day; 8:30am reservation @ Norway. Seated right on time & all food here was good. Included the girls picture w/ Belle. Our characters that day were the picture w/ Belle, Mary Poppins, Mulan , Jasmine & Snow White. This meal selection was by far the most limited in terms of food selection & also included our poorest service, not bad just not as good as all the others.
For snack we had warm pretzels, good as usual.
@ 5:15 we had a reservation @ Teppan Edo. This was the only meal we had where we had to wait, seated about 5:40pm. Once we seated we had a great meal. The girls & Mom had the chicken, the girls off the kids menu received the same amount of chicken as Mom. Dad had the strip steak, should have ordered the combo w/ shrimp as those who did @ the table received the same steak plus their shrimp pieces.
On 11/2 - Hollywood Studio day; no reservations. We had breakfast @ ABC Commissiory. Dad & one girl had a egg, ham & cheese bagel sandwich, Mom had oatmeal & the other girl had a cinnimon roll. All food was good.
Snacks were pretzels for Mom & Dad & ice cream for the girls.
Dinner was on Hollywood Blvd, forget the name, place across from Beauty & Beast. One kid had chicken nuggets the other had salad w/ chicken. Dad had a chicken ceasar salad & Mom had a chicken sandwich. Meals were good.
On 11/3 - Magic Kingdom day; 8:10am reservation @ 1900 Park Faire. Seated right on time and food, service & characters here were were great. Characters were Alice, The Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh & Tigger.
The girls & Mom had lunch @ Cosmic Rays, all was good again here. Dad ate the leftovers.
@ 5:50pm we had a reservation for 1900 Park Faire for dinner. ( We made this reservation after breakfast that morning by asking @ the service desk at the Grand Floridian. We had been trying to get this or Chef Mickey's this night for months w/ no luck till 9:00am this morning!! ) This meal was the best. Food & our server were great. Characters were Cinderella, Prince Charming, The Step Mother and the 2 Step Sisters. Cinderella and the Prince were good but the Step Mother & the 2 Step Sisters were absolutely fabulous. The Prince even danced w/ our 7 year old!!
On 11/4 - Our last day; We had breakfast & lunch @ PO-FQ using our last counter service credits. All food was good, Mom's sandwich was much better than on 10/30. We used our remaining snack credits for things to bring home in the Riverside & FQ gift shops.
All in all, We had a Great Trip!!
