Thankful and Thriving-November 2024 WISH

I am thankful to have options on getting to work. We have buses, a train or I can drive. I would rather drive but right now is not doable unless the kids (at least one of them) doesn't have school. The train is the easiest and lets out in my building (really nice on yucky days). I do have to be dropped off and picked up but that is much easier to schedule around since the train is only 15 minutes or less from my house. It is so much more complicated if the kids had to share a car and figure out who has it, who needs to drop off or pick who and where that would happen. And a Yay that college classes are almost done and I will have a few weeks that I can drive to work.

I am thankful that I had a pedicure appointment yesterday. It was my first pedi since Aug and my feet really needed it.

I am also thankful that I had Pilates yesterday. It made me move my body and it was good to be part of community.

I am also thankful to have moved thru some blockages at work and to have gotten things going again.

Happy Friday! Tonight DH and I are going to see a movie and tomorrow, all 3 kids and 2 boyfriends are going to see a musical at the Fox for DH's birthday. We're going to a matinee and then I have reservations for all of us for dinner. Should be a fun day and evening!

Thankful yesterday that DH finally got home OK after a series of train delays.

Friday thoughts - If DS is free, we have some errands and stuff we need to get done together. Otherwise, a movie I want to see comes out today, so maybe I'll go.

I think I'll be going to a movie as well: 'Conclave' opens here today and looks really good. Plus, I've long had a soft spot for Isabella Rossellini (who is in it), particularly since seeing her narrate at Candlelight Processional. Other than that, on Monday I get my haircut at the salon in the new town I'll be moving to. I'll spend some time wandering around checking other things out as well, but sadly both yarn stores there are not open Mondays.

We have a free weekend here. DD does have a football game tonight (they won their playoff game last week). I am not going because it is 2 hours away. It is too much to drive back that late at night. I feel bad for missing it though. I am also going to try and stop off at my moms. I have some stuff for them for their cruise that they leave on in a few days. We will also get grocery shopping done at some point. It should be a nice and easy weekend.

We saw that last night. I really enjoyed it. It seemed kind of slow at first, but definitely picks up. There were a few really thought provoking quotes that I jotted down after the movie. I think I'm going to put one of them on my desk with a few of my other favorite quotes so that I'm reminded of it throughout the day.

Good to hear... thanks!

7 out of 12... again purely by guessing for most of them

Conclave was excellent. It held my attention for the entire film with excellent acting and beautiful set design. And the message was oddly timely.

Today is the first Saturday in forever that I'm not spending the first half of the day running errands. The goal today is to drop off at least four bags of stuff at GW, I've got two bags packed already. I'm also going to sort thru my books and then drive around town looking for Little Libraries to drop them off in. I desperately need to get stuff out of the house to open up space.

Was moderately productive today. Made granola bars and something resembling poptarts. Tied 24 bows for the scout wreath sale and finished converting all the games and puzzles into bags instead of boxes. Now they all fit in the storage ottoman and we were able to get rid of an ugly metal shelving unit!
Got a vaccine yesterday so between my productivity and that I am sleeeeeepy
