I've been thinking a lot about how I'm constantly checking every corner of the internet for Disneyland content since I'll be heading down there in a month, and I just wanted to say that this forum has been one of the most helpful and bright shining lights surrounding the topic. There are plenty of places where criticism of Disneyland are just rampant. It drains your spirit, to be quite honest, and it gets really old really fast. That's not to say we shouldn't be critical of Disney and the decisions they're making, but to see nothing but spiteful commentary under the guise of criticism coupled with hypocritical behavior like spewing trash about the parks yet still visiting gets old. I love Disneyland and I've been going since I was a baby. Maybe I don't remember the way it was in the mid-80s, but I do remember the feelings it has and keeps giving me. And to be able to share that with like-minded individuals on a forum that is a shining light in the dark recesses of corporate America and jaded consumers is just wonderful. Here's to what Disney will bring us in the future, what it means for us now and in the past, and I hope whoever is heading there soon has a great time!

Thank you for your positive contributions! We do our best to be fair minded and self controlled with our opinions and accurate with our news. While negative things do happen, being constructive with our criticism is more helpful than mindless ranting and dumping (which doesn't help anyone). And we always try to focus on the positive -- that's what helps newbies planning their first trips and vets rediscovering the magic. You're right that there is so much negativity out there on the internet, so we try to be a haven for like minded Disney fans. :)

Agreed. I get so hyped up when I come to this forum and see all the positivity and excitement. I love helping out everyone with my own experiences even thought I don't live close to the parks anymore. They are still a very deep and important part of me and will always remain one of my most happiest places.

I agree! Sometimes there are things we all want to vent about, but this forum is a nice place to see the happiness Disney brings to so many of us and provides great information and positive feedback. If it wasn't special to you and didn't make you happy, then I don't know why you'd be here. Of course there are things that could be better or that we personally dislike etc and it's ok to bring up some of those things if doing so can alert others to potential issues and/or lead to positive change, but theluckyrabbit's statement that "mindless ranting and dumping...doesn't help anyone" says it perfectly. There are plenty of other forums you can find for the darker stuff.
