Just returned from a 10 day trip with my four kids and it was wonderful. I think the highlight of the trip was the kindness of strangers, so I just wanted to say thank you to all those out there who went out of their way to be kind. I often hear complaints about ride guests, but our experience was quite the opposite.
I traveled with my DH, DS 8, DD 6, DS 3 (who has Down syndrome), and 3 month old DD. To say we had our hands full was an understatement, but to my surprise, every time our hands were full, someone stepped in to lend one of theirs. When we had to fold up the stroller on the boats and carry two kids, there was always someone who insisted on carrying it for us. When we squeezed into a monorail carrying a baby, someone always jumped up to offer a seat. When I was separated from my husband on a monorail, someone always helped me get the stroller off. My 3-year old also appreciated all of the special attention - riding monorails and buses were his favorite part of the trip because of the new friends he would make! In addition, we dealt with fabulous cast members, many of whom went out of their way to make our day special.
I went into the trip more than a little stressed out about traveling with a child with a disability and an infant, but I am so glad we did. Disney really is the happiest place on earth! Thanks to all who made our trip magical!
