After reading on these boards for months and months we rented points for a savannah view deluxe studio animal kingdom lodge kidani village. We had a wonderful stay. We will never stay in a reg. room again. We will be renting points from now on (until we can buy). We LOVE Kidani. We drove so the long halls were not a problem We were near an elevator and was able to park very close to the elevator each time so the walking was not bad. We have talked about the pros and cons of each place and the animal views win out eat time. We will not be going back for a couple of years. We are going to save up for a 15 night stay the next time. It will me my grad. school gift and we want more time at the lodge. We also want two days in each park. I wish that we could go right now. Sept. 20-28 was wonderful. We had only stayed at the POP before and my husband hated it. He felt it was just to cheesy. Of course our son love it. However, he loved watching the animals more. Again I thank you all for taking the time to answer all my questions and sharing your home with us.

If I can make a suggestion?

You might want to consider a split stay next time at a couple of resorts. I can't count how many people thought that they loved one resort only to find out after they bought that they like a different resort even more. Our family can be included in that count. :goodvibes

Each resort and area has something different to offer. That's what we love about WDW.

I am trying to talk my husband into a split stay. However, at this time he says that he just wants to settle in and get comfy. I do think that Board Walk area is starting to get his attention. :rolleyes1 At week at BWV or BCV would also be nice. :thumbsup2

We love split stays. We really enjoy experiencing the different resorts. They're all unique and all have different 'atmospheres'. It's especially fun to see the different decorations at Christmastime.

Everybody has different preferences...some like split stays, some don't.
Dh and I prefer to settle down and stay in one unit for the whole time.
We own at Kidani and Beach Club but Kidani is now our all time favorite. We just feel at home there.

A split stay if you are staying for a couple of weeks can feel like 2 vacations. We try to stay close to the parks or things that we have planned. SSR if we are planning to spend time at DTD, VWL and now VGF for MK stays, and BWV for Epcot and DHS stays.

We have a split in December, VGF and BWV.

I don't care for split stays, and I book ahead just so I don't have to even entertain the thought!

I was not an AKV fan till Kidani came along, it's now one of our favorites. The 3rd bath in the 2bd, that lovely master bath, the covered parking, Sanaa, and I could go on and on, as a traveling party of 6-8, we love it!

I've tried all of the resorts, and if you intend to buy, you should buy where you prefer to stay. With that said, I own at OKW, which is my favorite resort but I frequent 3 other favored resorts as well (OKW, Kidani, BWV & SSR) Variety is the spice of life!

Nice to hear your enjoyed your stay!

Totally agree. We were not as knowledgeable as we are today and bought into a resort that we love, but hardly ever stay at (Vero). We keep it for our retirement beach (hopefully next year!!). Ultimately we bought into three more resorts that we enjoy. Split stays really are a wonderful idea. It is indeed like having two vacations! Good advice from disneynutz.

We have never tried a split stay. We go once a year and do 7 night stays. My wife mentioned trying one next year in hopes that we could get a few nights at one of the resorts we have not stayed at yet. I'm game for trying, and my vote is to try VWL, hers is for BC.

Trying out 1st split stay in May of next year. 6 night BCV and 6 nights at BLT. Iam worried about packing up 4 times. But we will give it a try

Do you have different room types at each resort? I'm not understanding why you would pack up 4 times.
