Hi,
I've only just joined despite having spent many months reviewing information about WDW. Having just, due to my son's and my own fear of flying, cancelled a trip to WDW for next month I thought I'd have a look at what people think etc about Paris.
It has really cheered me up.
I was so upset about not being able to persuade myself to go to Florida and couldn't really see what alternative there was. But having read various threads about Paris I have now realised that all I really wanted to do was to immerse myself in Disney again. Everyone seems so positive about the whole experience, I must admit I haven't really been to Paris for about 10 years, that once I get some sort of refund for the cancelled holiday I will book a stay for this summer! Oh yes, and I can get there by Eurostar which is miles better than flying over the Atlantic!

Hi Guineapig, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

It's a shame you've had to cancel your trip to WDW but as you can see from my signature I love both WDW and DLRP :cloud9: so i'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!! :wizard:

We've travelled by Eurostar and it's such an easy way to travel ~ you step off the train and you're a stone's throw from the Magic! :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip to WDW but like Elaine I love both WDW and DLP

DLP is a beautiful park and many of the rides have a better version that WDW

The DLP boards is a great place to hang out and there is always someone there to answer your questions

Have fun planning :goodvibes

Hi,
Great to see how everyone is so positive about DLRP. I can't wait to book now, I'm just waiting to get my refund from Virgin then I'll be booking straight away. I must admit I'm getting really excited, particularly as we will be travelling by train (I live about 15 minutes by taxi from Ashford International!). THis trip was to be a big birthday treat for both my son, who is 18 in about a week, and myself, who hit a significant milestone in January!

:goodvibes

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time in DLP, i'm not really a fan of flying either and used to eurostar for the first time on my nye trip- its was wonderfull - i dont fink i'll ever fly to DLP again. It added to the excitement and the holiday started the moment i sat down, i also think its nice as my bf and i never go on trains so its a nice change- plus we had a right giggle as we were both too excited.
Cant think of a better place to have a birthday treat- had my 21st bday there last yr- def wont forget it in a hurry!!!
