I had to make sure I sent a big THANK YOU to Walt Taylor the Manager at Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

DH and I just returned from an amazing week at WDW with the kids. We hired Kids Nite Out to watch the children one night while we could finally enjoy the parks together. Back story: DH and I had never been to WDW as children. The first time we set foot on Disney property was back in 2004 with our children. Needless to say we loved it and are now Annual Passholders and DVC members. DH and I have never ridden any of the more adventurous rides together. So, we were really looking forward to including Disney's Hollywood Studios in our date night. We wanted to ride ToT and RNR together. RNR is our favorite ride. So, we wanted a photo of our ride together. We rode it and had a great time. However, when we went to look at the photo, DH's head was cut off by all the imaging around the picture. We asked the CMs at the photo counter if they could fix it so we see DH's head. We tried to explain this was a very special and rare time that we got to ride together. They said the only way we could get the photo without all the stuff around it was to purchase a $20 frame or ride it again. By this time, the stand by line was well over an hour and we didn't want this big monstrous/expensive frame. Trust me, we had spent enough this trip. We honestly just wanted a memory of our ride together. Frustrated we walked away. However, something in the pit of my stomach knew that was honestly not the "Disney-way" of handling the situation. The CMs at the counter had absoulutely NO sympathy for our situation and had a take it or leave it attitude. We didn't have time to wait in the line and ride it again. So, that was not an issue. DH saw that I was upset. So, he asked to speak with a Manager.

The Manager, Walt Taylor, came out. He couldn't have been nicer. He explained that they couldn't just give us the photo without the border because of copyrighting issues. Which this was the first time we heard that. So, it made more sense why the other CMs couldn't sell us the photo as in. Since the photo couldn't be fixed to include DHs head, Walt offered for us to ride RNR again in the front car. Only this time, switching sides. He surely turned my frown upside down. Walt walked us through the exit of RNR through a door into the loading area of the ride. DH and I switched sides and got to ride RNR again. When we got to the end of the ride, Walt had the photo waiting for us free of charge. He turned a negative experience into one of the best experiences of our trip.

So, thank you very much Walt Taylor. You honestly don't know how much we appreciate the photo. Our youngest is two and it will be a few more years until we can all ride as a family. Hiring Kids Nite Out was a special treat for us (not cheap!). So, we don't know when we will get to ride together again. At least we have the photo to keep as a memory of a great evening.

Thank you again!
