I have been listening to the podcast for about six years now. I discovered it when I started planning our trip waaay back in 2010. It was our "one and only" trip and the boards were so extremely helpful. I knew even then that it would most likely be our only trip to the World due to finances - the podcast and the information found on the boards made it a trip to remember. Seriously, so incredibly fun! However, I have continued to listen to the podcast because even though I don't really need trip planning advice anymore, they are so knowledgeable and passionate that I love listening to them every week. When I need a pick-me-up I will even go back and listen to the old podcasts. It seems like at least once every week someone makes me literally laugh out loud, and since I generally listen through my earphones I get some strange looks! Anyhow, I have listened to other "amateur" (just meaning not sponsored by a journalistic entity such as NPR) podcasts and this is by far the best. The production quality, interactions, preparedness and other qualities are so amazing, not just for the Dis Unplugged, but also for the other podcasts sponsored by The Dis. I just wanted to say "thank you" for the incredible amount of work you put in every week and please know that there are many of us out here who don't really post much on the boards or participate in the chat rooms who really enjoy what you produce and realize the hard work it takes to produce it.
Ok, I promise I'll go wipe the brown off my nose now.
