foreverbigdreams, Danivolleyball, jennasn, fairypower, fairypowerjaz, skydreams, and car for all you did for zsmile and myself in during this weekend that noe will soon forget. My DH never understood much about VMK or disboards until this weekend when not only zsmile blew out his knee while getting ready for a regional competion next weekend but then I ended up having emergency surgery and these wonderful, incredible people as well as Sorcer DOnald came to our rescue and did all that they could to help for zsmile get through and make a little boy smile. Unknown to us at the time he wanted to win to give all the things away but that's a story for another day. These people continued day and night right up unitl that strange 12:00 surprise cut off, which seems as though has been thouroughly discussed here, but as also has been said over and over as I catch up is Dis people are the best anywhere hands down. I guess in my case, sitting hunched over the keyboard trying to beat pirates seriously saved my life for had I not the mass may have continued to grow undetected for quite sometime. Luckily for my they think they got it all, there will be a few follow up treatments but all should be fine. Note to all, if you are playing pirates trying to get 575 and start to shake, it may not be nerves! So let's recap, during dreams I fell on the stairs and broke my ankle, this quest I ended up in the ER and then in surgery so maybe I should start limiting my quest time! But in all seriousness thank you to all invovlved for being so giving and caring and helping to take care of my family! Suzee your PIxie Dust is a miracle cure and so is your friendship!

shine, I had no idea you were going through all of this! I am so sorry, friend. I hope you're feeling better soon, and zsmile too. I'm sorry I got on too late to be of any help Sunday night; I thought I'd finish my project sooner than I did, but alas no. And what a wonderful job you and your hubby clearly did raising zsmile that he was going to give his prizes away. That brings a tear to my eye.

I just wanted to take the time to THANK You so many people who helped me
my good friend Happy_guest...Ladybodicea... oasterzRock...CinderPrincess and MummyKat...I didn't know any of you except Hapy..and yet you took the time to help me with pirates!! Thank You so much... then there was also PolarFish and Villabug...and Goofy_Bob also who helpd me with this quest! You all were the best! My Hubby Grumpy wasn't able to finish the quest even though he was so close to the end...as vmk closed it down..just as I believe so many others were too. But am grateful to all who helped me.

The good thing about this quest was how so many people were helping others...I just couldn't believe it. But in all this kindness there is a downfall to it too. In the via of so many people helping others it also put strains on friendships also..as some were left behind..and some felt they didn't care... so I feel bad for that...I know this as I have friends and my sun said people were upset with them...I can only hope after the dust settles down that the friendships can be renewed... as everyone was just tying to help so many and some felt left out! Again ...I can only say Thank You for all those who helped me! Same on VMMK who couldn't see what was happying and then closed it down..for stupid reason!!

Trust me, it was gift enough to see your finishing score, knowing you had FINALLY passed after days of pirates. I had tears in my eyes and was literally shaking from the stress of that game, LOL!

BLUE CREW, WOOT!

I just want to thank my team. We were all in blue skin and some of us had signatures that said "Geek till the end!"

I would not have made it through with out the help of the team, and I am happy I was able to help some of you through as well!

Some of the blue crew who's titles I can remember off the top of my head: KahneFan (thanks to the insane degree), PrincessPaisley, Max_Power (and co...), GeologyGirl, SadieFaye, bluebonnet, alphapopprincess, Ostrichjockey, Ymergirl, Terfer, PirateChip, PrinceEthan, ThumperBelle, Longears, Princess_Angelika, AcceptRich, KhakiPear... , Ruby?..., FleaCircusAcrobat, and tofubeast (haha) +the others in blue who I can't remember their titles (sorry).

I'm still wearing my blue war paint in honor of our crew!

Dearest Tofubeast, you and PrincessPaisley both deserve a tremendous amount of gratitude for devising a brilliant strategy that helped countless pirates and branched out beyond our Blue Crew. Even though you understandably could not log on for marathon shifts, you devoted many hours to catapulting players over that hurdle. And while your poor tofurkey beastie no longer wishes to see another flaming cannonball, remember that our success rate shot up each time you and Princess (with new ears to match your royal title, yay!) pitched in as our amazing sharp-shootin' duo.

Max_Power oughta win the MVP Award for not only inspiring loyalty among his teammates but for helping 30 - 40 people pass pirates from opening till closing time. He could've easily abandoned the crew on the second day of this crazy ordeal - but he chose to push his friends and their loved ones across the finish line first, ending the quest after 70+ hours. During his short furlough from pirates, he helped at least ten people chase down ghosts. Not once did he take a break to eat or sleep. Many of our members emptied out cookie jars at the computer or forgot to munch entirely.

I owe LizardKing, a dynamo from Max's Sunday morning team, a great deal of thanks for helping and encouraging my nearest and dearest in the final hours. I admire him because it was his love for "the other blue" girl that inspired him to stick with us all day Sunday and assist many crew members with his mad healing skills.

I also want to thank the two kind souls who helped me whoop Haunted Mansion in the last ten minutes of the game. I was in acute physical pain by then and I couldn't remember my own name, let alone yours - but I hope you and your friends were similarly blessed by the generosity of other awesome Samaritans.

Many of you, recognizing me by my circus ringmaster outfit, referred to me as "Key" within the game. Since I could not pull the trigger without blasting everyone off the screen and hunching down for 30 hours worsened my already awful physical agony, I played the lazy dead duck side while Max represented my evil doppelgänger. I was touched that quite a number of our crew likewise wanted to surprise their parents or grandkids by stepping in to aim and shoot.

While not every crew member finished the quest due to the let's-terminate-the-shebang-while-everyone's-at-work deadline, I felt that each person deserved their special pair of silver ears for sacrificing their time and team spirit to the longest weekend in VMK history. Everyone played an essential part in the blue crew and deserves hugs for enduring such a grueling experience for their friends and families.

A big thanks to all who took the opportunity to help others, whatever it might have been, during this most difficult quest. I saw a lot of different things, having worked with a number of groups and individuals during the quest period. The good, bad, sad, funny, it was all there, and I wouldn't trade the experience of it for anything. I have no doubt that blood, sweat, and tears were shed as a result of this quest. I only wish that there were some sort of badge of courage for anyone that attempted it. I particularly enjoyed seeing our community, as well as others, come together to circumvent the Evil Task Makers of VMK, it was beautiful. To be honest, now that the quest is over, and I'm not trying to help someone move on, I'm not really sure what to do with myself. I am however sure that 16 will be my least favorite number for awhile....
