A big thank you to Disalex!!! (not sure of what your screen name is here on the DIS). I met up with him when I joined the VMK last night and he took me on a tour of VMK showing me a couple of the DIS rooms as well as other places and gave me a lot of pointers. He was very very patient with me as I was really clueless as to what I was doing! LOL! I found it very hard to communicate with him, however, based on the limited dictionary there. I'd type something to him, find I had to change a word, change it again; and by that time Disalex had disappeared and I was off again following him.... I think the limited conversations there need some work, but otherwise, I thought it was a load of fun!! I think I'm addicted!! If you see me around, I am Pinkgirlygirl - say HELLO! I'd love to meet you!

Congratulations, you'll find that the Dis people who VMK are very nice. Glad you got a chance to get shown around and had fun. Yes, the dictionary is a major pain.

You can check the VMK - Dis screen name list to find out who disalex is. You might be a little surprised.

Actually, you did not know? The Dis leaders are so dedicated that each and every new Dis player gets a personal tour of VMK by a Dis webmaster. I hope that at the end of the tour, you received your complete magic pin set?

Actually, no I did not know. I feel dumb now.... AND I did not receive a magic pin set - I took off from disalex after a while. Are you kidding me about the pins? I seem to have stuck a "funny bone" with this thread, but I'm not getting the humor. I guess I've got "NEWBIE" stuck all over me.

Sorry, I need to cut down on the sarcasm / tongue-in-cheek posts. It's very hard to get that across on the boards, being with text mostly. Especially if the "joke" is clear only to those of us who know that magic pins are really hard to come by, but that wouldn't AT ALL be clear to anyone new. So, apologies!

The truth is that the Dis people on VMK are really nice; probably the nicest of the various groups that congregate at VMK.
