Thank You Note Question

Hi ladies,

I needed some opinions. My husband and I got married at WDW in January and most of the people who sent gifts and cards weren't present at the ceremony. Because of this, we slowly accumulated gifts over the three or four months following the wedding and I tried to send a thank you note out within a week of everything I received.

Just yesterday, my mother was cleaning house and found a card that someone had given her to give to us for the wedding. The woman gave it to her right after we got married, but mom forgot about it and lost it in a stack of mail. The card contains quite a bit of cash.

Should I send out a thank you note and explain the situation? Or should I just let it go because it's been so long?

I think you need to immediately send a thank you card, and perhaps a little note about why it took so long. Do not just let it go.

Oh definitely send a card ASAP! If I were the sender, I'd be seething in silence at never having been acknowledged, or at the very least I'd be wondering if you even got it.

Giving them an explanation will make them feel better!
