I posted the very sad news of my mother's unexpected death. I received 100 responses. Some were from people I feel I really know from chat or the boards, some had familiar screen names, some totally unfamiliar.

Your words gave me such such solace and comfort (even though they brought on more tears!) and I truly thank you for them.

What a wonderful DIS family I have found!

I fly down to New Jersey tomorrow for a week with family. It will be stressful in many ways, but also a relief that my Mom is at peace.

Sorry, I apparently missed the original post...


I went through similar just a few years ago when my mom passed away suddenly although she had been in and out of the hospital for several years.

I even had trouble being in my "happy place" (WDW) months later, as I was dealing with a jerk buyer for the house while on my cell phone in the middle of MGM, but the Poly Club concierges were wonderful with helping me deal with the paperwork.

I hope you and your family can find comfort despite the stress.
