Thank You Gift

I hurt my knee back in April. It's been a long journey of recovery that isn't over yet, and it's been really frustrating at times. I don't know how I would have made it through to this point without my physical therapist. I did 6 weeks of PT before my surgery and so far after I've done 4 weeks. She is a wonderful person and therapist, truly caring about my recovery, and has been my sole support through all of this, always encouraging me and making me feel better when I've been frustrated.

Monday may or may not be my last day of physical therapy, depending on what the doctor says next Wednesday. I'm going to write a thank you card, but I'd also like to get her something as a thank you gift. I know that in some places there are policies where the staff can't accept gifts over a certain price, so it can't be too expensive. I thought about baking cookies, but she eats really healthy, so I want to give her something she can appreciate. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you seen any 'clues' when you've been around her as to what she might like? For example, any place that you've seen they get lunch from, or does she walk around with a Dunkin Donuts cup in her hand all the time, something like that. A gift card to there would be good. And then you can make it for whatever amount you like, neither she nor anyone else will know how much is on it until she uses it. Or, has she mentioned a store she likes to shop at (Bath and Body Works, Yankee Candle, a particular sports store, etc.)?

But in addition to anything she might buy and in addition to a card to HER, I would also send a letter to her boss or the manager of the PT office, whoever is in charge. THAT will mean more to her than anything monetary. :goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestions. There is a Panera Bread nearby that she often gets lunch from, I think I'll get a gift card to there. And I'll be sure to write a letter to the manager too, thanks.

My DH wanted to do something after his knee surgery/recovery for his PT and the office. He sent a catered lunch to the office. That way they could all enjoy. He sent a thank you card along with it, too.

You're welcome! So glad you had such great care and that you're doing better now! :yay:
