Thank You Gift for Inlaws

I posted this on another forum, but thought I may receive more creative responses here - you guys are great!


I'm looking for any ideas of a gift to give to my inlaws for providing us with our magical vacation. As an early Christmas present, we are going as a family: DMIL, DFIL; DH, DS, DD, me; DBIL, DSIL, and DNephew. Without their generosity, it may be years before we can afford to go on our own.

I thought it might be a good way to say thank you by sneaking something into their room... should I wait to see something they like in a store and purchase it? Pay for a carriage ride for the 2? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Please hurry as we are leaving in a week and 1/2 - who's counting...LOL!!

I'd look into getting some professional pictures taken of all of you at the Parks. Not the 'Line Up, Point & Click' ones they do but maybe talk to one of the Wedding Photographers & see if he/she can suggest some ideas, give you prices, etc.
I may be projecting though because my only regret from our Disney Cruise is that we didn't get a family picture taken with Mickey. We had some nice family pictures taken but I would have loved to have taken one with Mickey.

You could have some kind of basket sent to their room.

Get some good group shots so you can get some good pics for memories &
you could also pick up a really nice photo album while your there - they have some really nice ones in the stores! - and put together some pictures from the trip on the first few pages and then leave some blank for them to add their own photo's. A nice card saying something to the point of "thank you for the wonderful vacation, here is something for you to look back and remember the magical times we shared together"

Go with something that will remind them of the time with the family. The professional photos. or even a package with the photopass..a scrapbook...

A basket of goodies dissapears before the vacation is over...a few pictures preserve the memory and say thank you.

In 2003, my inlaws brought us all (my family of 4 plus my sil and bil) to WDW for a week long trip in October. We thanked them by sending them on the Backstage Magic Tour, which they still rave about.

I'm a DMIL and when I read your suggestion of a carriage ride for the 2 of them, I thought "We would like that!" Also, the suggestion that you get some pictures of your group. We recently went with my DAunt's family and a few of us had Disney Visas and we were able to get free pictures with Mickey and Pluto at Epcot. We bought a few of the pictures there as well.

Have a great time! We took our first 4 generation trip this past August, and we have another one planned for next October. It was just too hot for some of us in August!

Bobbiwoz posted the link - we gave them the Backstage Magic Tour which is 7 hours and includes lunch. They visited MK, MGM and Epcot.

Kodakgallery.com has some great custom albums for a very reasonable price(around $30). You can take pictures from your vacation and put them in an album (several different layouts per page) and add captions. I am going to do this for my DS for his birthday. He likes to flip through our album and this way he has his own.
