Why are people buying such expensive eyeliners? Revlon's Colorstay eyeliner is it for me.

Well, I started buying expensive eyeliner because Colorstay and its ilk did NOT work for me, and I got tired of "rainbows" of liner transferred onto my upper lids. Glad you're happy with it, though.

When I use it I want dramatic eyes so I like black liquid, I'm not sure what the brand is since I don't pull it out often.

I use Everyday Minerals loose powder eye liner. I have an angled brush that I wet to apply it. It gets right down in the crease of my upper eye and stays put on the lower. Great stuff and not expensive.

UD 24/7 are great. I also just wet my brush and use their eyeshadows as a liner too. If you are looking for something really affordable wet and wild GEL liners (the ones that come in a little pot) are fantastic too. Make up forever makes some liners that are to die for too.

Yup! That's what I use - and their waterproof versions of the eyeliners are great too. Perfect for WDW touring when it's hot and muggy out.

This stuff is AMAZING. The eyeliner stays put all day, it doesn't smudge and even during the months around my mother's death, with all the crying, that eyeliner stayed put. I couldn't believe it. No more raccoon eyes and no gathering in the corners (near the inner part of my eyes) that I always hated.

It's expensive but it's awesome and that jar has lasted me almost a year now.

My favorite cheaper eyeliner that I learned about on the Today show is Covergirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner.

I love Mac's Fluidline. It is a liquid/gel that you apply with a brush. Stays on forever and does not smudge. Especially great if you are into dramatic, bold eyes.

Wet and Wild Gel works great, I posted on the first page the Maybelline Gel but I also have a Wet and Wild gel.
Makeup Alley is a great resource for what products are just as good if not better than high end products. I love Revlon Colorstay foundation and Makeup Alley always has it as one of the most reviewed and most likely to repurchase foundations by their memebers. I think the site is makeupalley.com

I love this one because it doesn't smudge bad when I am hot and sweaty. I use the black one and the charcoal one. It also has a tiny spongey thing on one end to blend it and you never have to sharpen the point.

I use a Maybline one-don't remember which one off had. I have found that if I put my eyeliner on first, then use my foundation (mineral powder) that helps set the eyeliner and it doesn't smudge, run, etc.

I've been using this liner from Sephora for a while now and I think it's fantastic:

The tip is retractable, so no sharpening is needed. It lasts all day and has a bit of a shimmer. I have brown eyes and use the Teal color. Love it!

I use Ulta brand eyeliner and ELF eyeliner in the pot. The later is only $2 or $3! I love them both. Now I really wanna try the Urban Decay one though after hearing about it on this thread.

I have no less than 15 different types and brands of eyeliners at any one time but my go-to favorite is Bobbi Brown gel liner. I like to tightline my lashes and rim my water lines and I can only do that with the gel liner and a brush, for some reason.

Ok... after using UD 24/7 and Rimmel Black Magic and Wet and Wild... well I did try a few and this three where the one I end up using regularly... thank you! I really love the UD 24/7 and always now on the look out for sales at ULTA... But also the same pliability was experienced with Rimmel and for emergency in my bag at work is the Wet and Wild Kohl cream pencil!
