Thanks for the well wishes & caring thoughts. It's hard to believe it's been a year since Bob passed away. His presence is frequently felt by Brian & I.
He was my best friend. We had a lot of fun together & every day was an adventure. He was funny, witty, & caring- always knew what to say if I was sad or angry.
He was a great Dad to our son Brian as well as my 2-Matt & Erin- form my first marriage. He raised them with me from the time they were 7 & 3.
He is missed, but we are all doing ok.

Bawb touched us all in so many ways. Even today with GKTW....He's inspired us to make a difference.

On May 9th, as we run the Muddy Buddy for GKTW, we will especially be thinking of him and how he inspired us to run the race and be the best we can be. All of us here on the DIS have pulled together to make a difference because of Bawb.

funny thing - today my car had a flat and I had to get to work so I ended up driving Bawb's van...the one he used to transport KhartKham. ( For those who don't know, I live at the Varley house with Dianer)

About two miles down the road it hit me what the date was and a smile crossed my face...how ironic....

I think about Bob a lot. He was the inspiration for my bike ride for GKTW. I hope that knowing how many lives he has changed either directly or indirectly give you and the kids some solace.

I'm not sure if it's been said enough, but thank you to you and the kids for letting Bob be the person he was for all of us.

Since I've started doing correspondent work for the team, I realize fully how much support that your family gave to further Bob in the adventures he shared with us every week. Thank you for allowing us to vicariously become members of your family.

Thank you so much for posting. I cannot tell you how many times I have wanted to post, ask in chat or call the voice mail line over the last few weeks to ask how you were doing. I am glad to see you on and taking the time to think of us on what I am sure is a very difficult day. As the others have said Thank you for sharing him with us.... although I never got the honor of meeting him I know he was an amazing man who is missed by more people than you can iminage. I am so glad we got to do the GKTW fundraiser in his honor!

The same for me! Bob was an inspiration to me, the reason I'm running the muddy buddy and most likely the reason I am even on the podcast cruise. I'm saddened that I didn't get to met him, but I think often about his wonderful attitude and all the joy he brought to those around him. Sometimes on purpose and sometime unintentionally I can remember how sad I was a year ago for the loss of someone I'd never met.

In Bobs memory I hope to spend a day on my christmas vacation at GKTW Village helping out anyway I can.

The only other word that comes to mind now is "thanks"
