My DH and I were engaged at Cinderella's Castle last April 5th, 2004. I had NO idea I was about to be proposed to, but the wonderful cast members in the restaurant made it so incredibly perfect. My DH must've been laughing to himself whe we walked in the restaurant and I expressed my utter shock over being given the best seat in the house! Right front and center at the window so we could see Fantasyland AND so that the whole restaurant could see when I got proposed to! That was fabulous gesture #1. It didn't end there. Our waiter was super sweet (I'm so sorry, I wish I remembered your name, I think it was Chris.) and helped Mike out enormously. He knew about it the WHOLE time but kept his cool as our waiter and helped Mike keep his cool too, I never picked up on it. And just the whole way it was presented to me. The waiter came out of the kitchen with a dessert tray (even though I had told him I wasn't interested in dessert b/c I really wanted an ice cream cone on Main St!). and placed the tray infront of me. On it was a glass slipper, with a pink rose inside and my ring was inside the rose. And inscribed on the side of the glass slipper, it said "Will You Marry me"? Very romantic, I cried so much. But the whole cast at the restaurant was so great in helping my DH out, one of the girls who worked there even had a dispsoable camera that she gave me and was snapping away at proposal time. It's just something I'll never forget and always think about when I think about what it is about Disney that makes it so special. And the cast is so much a part of that.

...Also, want to thank the very generous cast members at Test Track, Mission Space and Splash Mt who brought us to the front of lines when we were there for our honeymoon from May 23-26th 2005. The guy at Splash Mt even gave us our own log to make a special memory and picture!

Thank you to EVERY Disney Cast member in Disney World. This is a wonderful thread to honor all of you and your sincere smiles that greet us and which make all of our stays at Disney heartfelt and cozy. It's why I call Disney my second home, you all make us feel so welcome. Look forward to seeing you again in 5 days!
