Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and e-mails.

Rachel is home today. It was a bit rougher than expected (they couldn't get it in a few times because of scarring) so she is sore and can't really move her arm yet, but she's had two doses of the medicine so everything is working fine. I guess she'll just be home today eating grapes and watching back-to-back episodes of Arthur!

One of the best things that happened was that when we got home from the hospital, there was a little envelope waiting with a trade from Renee. It was one of the princess event pins, and I can't even begin to tell you how that brightened Rachel's day! It was wonderful.

Thanks again.

Glad to read that Rachel is home. Hope all continues to be positive for everyone!

My thoughts and prayers for a speeding recovery from the inserting of the PICC and that the infusions progress well and Rachel has a healthy response.
MORE HUGE POOH HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Of Rachael all day Monday. I have a grandson who is 3 and know how precious children are. I'm glad that she's doing well. Keep us posted.

I am glad to hear your little princess is doing well and again--that the trade arrived with such perfect timing to brighten her day. For those of you that dont know, the funny part with the LBE was that I had mailed it well over a week before and we were just starting to get worried that it may have gotten lost in the mail. The fact that it was waiting for Rachel when she got home from her ordeal was an amazing and wonderful twist of fate.

Renee, that is so awesome about the pin. How thoughtful of you. The timing couldn't have been better.

Glad to hear that Rachel is doing fine.

Yes, it was really wonderful. I know Renee and I were both a little worried that it had been lost, but I had this feeling we should just wait a bit more. Plus, with the surgery coming up I didn't really want to focus on it.

So, I opened the envelope and let Rachel slide the pin out. And she just gasped and said "Oh...she's so beautiful". And then the next day while the nurse had to change her bandage (which really hurt) she held and stroked that pin. I'm telling you, it was like a little piece of magic.
