Just thought I'd add a quick post to thank everyone for keeping us in mind and offering best wishes for Phil etc
He's still in the hospital but, after three months of seeming 'in limbo', we now appear to be moving on with a 'plan'
He's still immobile, can't speak, has a PEG feeding tube and seems, pretty much, unaware of things going on around him, but is next in line for a bed on a re-habilitation unit at another hospital.
It's difficult to know how much re-habilitation will be possible but it'll be, mostly, up to him once he gets there
It'll all come as a mighty shock to him as he'll be pushed to the limits - at the moment he's refusing to co-operate with the ward staff so they leave him alone as they're so busy and short staffed
It will be impossible for him to return home so we'll also be looking at funding for care homes etc once we know what he's capable of
Onwards.................................
