My son is doing fine. I put on a pretty good front when I am with him. His mother has moved on and has my replacement already. It really bloodied my nose. Imagine, you do everything for someone and you end up replaced and alone. It is super de dooper!

Dealing with the change can certainly be rough but you both need to move on. I know I've got the good and bad emotional days with my separation but you can't live in resentment. You need to focus on you and your life. Move forward and avoid looking back.

And start making plans for all of the single women you'll be meeting.

Dave, it looks like alot of us ladies agree. . We all seem to be telling you the same thing. You have alot of people out here who care about you. Keep your chin up, and don't let your ex get the best of you. Everyday will get a little easier, just don't ever let her see you hurt. lol

Hey all! I just wanted to let you know that I am doing better and becoming "me" again. I still have my days, but I am moving forward and ready for the future! I am getting used to being single and available again, which is so weird! Thanks to all of you!

Howdy!

I'm super new to Disboards (and Disney forums in general), so have been mostly reading/lurking. But, I had to create a profile here, so I could just post a note here and say - I've been there... it gets better and better. It's been a little over two years since my divorce, and over a year since a short lived rebound relationship that convinced me to take time for myself. That's what I encourage you to do; discover what makes you - you!

I've been realizing that being single is just the other side of being in a couple. Just like being in a couple has some great advantages (I'm a sucker for holding hands), so does being single.... For example I just bought into Disney Vacation Club all on my own! My husband would have never let me (he was not a Disney fan). I can now go to WDW whenever I want, and ride whatever ride I want, shop when I feel like it, and just sit by the pool if I'm so inclined. It's awesome being your own vacation fun guide!

Anyway, I know it's may seem weird coming from a stranger, but my heart really just goes out to you; and it was my friends keeping me positive that helped during those first few months.
