Alright, back to the original TR. I am sorry for the big gap during the month of March. I know I confused some as I kept getting asked when the need for
trip insurance. Well it's coming soon enough. For now, I left off with the
DCL TR after our first full day on the ship.
Our Nassau day was my favorite of the cruise and it was a pretty laid back day. There had recently been a lot of news about the increased crime in Nassau. The armed robbery of DCL and RCL passengers occured about a month before we sailed. That helped DH and I decide not to take the girls off the ship in Nassau. We were mainly there for the boat anyway. Our plan for today was to play in the pools and explore the ship then DH and I would get off the ship long enough to do a little exploring just so that we could say we had at least set foot in Nassau.
I woke up pretty early as is usual for me when on vacation. Who can sleep with such excitement around.
I went to deck 9 and grabbed some coffee, had a seat, and watched the sun rise. Early mornings became my favorite as there were not many other people out and about.
I then went walking around. Looks like I explore deck 9, then went to the track on deck 4.
This is also when I found the picture kiosk and took picture of our pictures from the day prior. (on a side note this is one thing DCL does much better
Royal Caribbean. RCI does not swipe your card so you are left hunting through thousands and thousands of pictures to find yours.)
The princesses would be making an appearance but my little princesses were fast asleep and had already seen most princesses at WDW.
Loved the Mickey hand elevators.
I then checked on the family and they were all still asleep so I decided to go to the gym. Loved It! Sorry, I didn't take any good pictures of the gym. I took one out the window while on the stationary bike. I remember that I had planned to get on a treadmil until I saw someone trip up and almost fall off when the ship rocked slightly. I decided the bike would be safer.

I loved this! It was so much fun to pedal and look straight out as we approached Nassau. I literally felt like I was pedaling the ship into port. Great memory.
Finally I made it back to the family. They were just starting to get up and about.
After breakfast we went straight for the pool. It was warm enough to be comfortable in swim suits but it definitely wasn't "lay out" kind of weather. If you were sitting on the chair you would probably be most comfortable wrapped in a towel. When the sun went behind the clouds and the wind blew it was a bit chilly.
The girls loved the Mickey slide. They went down over and over and over and over.
The girls got a bit chilly so hopped in the hot tub with me for a while.
The girls both wanted to get some braids but did not want the corn row tight braids. These braids were super inexpensive, didn't hurt them, and stayed in past Christmas.
While Hope got her hair braided Faith got a picture with Daisy then they switched.
Final result.
We returned to our stateroom and our overstuffed fish extender.
This was so much fun for the girls.
We washed up, had lunch at the buffet then the girls headed to the kids club. For the Ratatouli cooking school.
Next up: Finally some alone time for DH and I in Nassau!
