I would like to thank all those people that work to protect our country in the Armed Services. It is greatly appreciated.

I'll give my hubby an extra kiss this morning.

To all veterans and those currently in the military. Thanks for all you do and have done!!!:thumbsup2

As somebody who's service occurred at a time when those returning from the service were often looked at with scorn or even fear, its nice to see the change in attitude towards veterans since then.

We may not always agree with the reasons we are at war, but it took us a while to realize that our disagreements should be directed towards those who make the policy, not towards those that do the dirty work.

I'll happily add my thanks to those that served before me, and those that served after me, not to mention those that are currently serving.

Thanks for starting the thread Kathy.

I want to say thank you for keeping us safe!

Happy Veterans Day

I appreciate your sacrifice for us.

I'm going to go to Disneyland's Flag Retreat today. They always honor our service men/women. So, I'll be there, tissues in hand.

Thanks to all the Veterans and Active Military who serve and sacrifice. Also, I'll be saying a few extra prayers for the men and women who were killed and wounded at Fort Hood last week. Prayers to their friends and families who are also suffering through this tragedy.

Thank you to all of our service men and women and thank you to the military families that make so many sacrifices too! God Bless our Troops and God Bless the USA!!!

Many heartfelt thanks to those that have sacrificed so much to protect the things many take for granted. As the daughter and granddaughter to Vietnam, WWII, and Korean War Veterans, I have the utmost appreciation and respect. May God bless you and your families. :worship:

Wanted to add my name to the list of those offering thanks to those who have served and those serving now.

Thank you for your bravery and sacrifice.

Thank you for all you do.

Military support up here is not as prevelant as in the U.S. One of the reasons I love the U.S. so much. Agree or disagree with the politics you have to commend the efforts of those involved. Thanks to all on both sides of the border.

Its the soldier, not the reporter who has given us
Freedom of the Press.
It's the soldier, not the poet, who has given us
Freedom of Speech.
It's the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the
Freedom to Demonstrate.
It's the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the
Right to a Fair Trial.
It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves under the flag and
whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who gives the protestor the right to burn the flag.

Happy Veteran's Day.

This, for my family, has never been a light-hearted day, as my grandpa who was a marine, spent this day in rememberance of all his friends he'd lost and the lives he had to take during his service.

As my grandpa passed away this summer, spending this day without him is more than a a little odd.

I guess the magnitude of this day never hit me, until now.

Our veterans are important. They deserve the utmost honor that can be given.

Thank you to all who have served and have yet to serve, and for those and their families that gave the ultimate sacrifice, thanks is not enough.

Have a GREAT day fellow vets---Thanks for your service and don't forget you get a free meal at Applebee's today.....
