I don't honestly know how early you can buy your TGV tickets - I'm buying mine online next week, for my journey from DRLP to CDG on 8th October.
I use the rail europe site. You get proper tickets from them. There is a link to their website on the very useful information topic on this forum.
Thanks, I need a ticket for the 3 December (quite a while yet!!) just want to get them at a low price because they can get quite expensive fot a 10 min train journey!
I think as long as you book at least 21 days in advance, you get the cheapest fare anyway.
Our fare on the TGV is quite a bit cheaper than the VEA price, and it means we get an extra hour in the parks before we have to start the journey home - so the TGV is a winner all round for me .

Yeah, thats why want to use it, plus I've read too many horror stories about the vea, aand as were going in Winter I don't want to be hanging around waiting for the bus
Sorry to but in on your post but how do you know what time train to get tickets for? We are suppose to land at 8.20am and we are only taking hand luggage, do you know roughly how long it takes from landing at terminal 2b to get to the tgv station? If we miss our booked train will we be charged again to get on another?
I'm getting really paranoid about how to get from CDG to DLP, our initial plan was to just get there and then decide wether to take TGV or VEA when we get there, dependent on price and what is available. Now I'm thinking we should pre-book.
Any advice from any one would be greatly appreciated. We are two adults travelling on our own with only hand luggage!
I'm afraid I can't help with the journey from CDG to DLRP on the TGV - I usually get the VEA for that journey, as I have a much longer wait for the TGV than the VEA just after our flight arrives, and the TGV is more expensive than the VEA at the time of day we arrive at CDG. Also, as you say, what happens if you have prebooked a TGV train and your flight is delayed?
The TGV connection is easy enough to do though, especially if you're not travelling with young children/a lot of luggage.
I've never prebooked the VEA, and have never had a problem getting from CDG to DLRP on it.
I've looked into this a fair bit and timetables/tickets are released 90 days (approx 12 weeks) in advance.
From what I can see, with regards to timing, you can book a later train and pay a little bit extra (about 3 pounds) which gives you a fully exchangable ticket so you can change to an earlier train. However, you lose 50% of your ticket payment if you exchange your ticket after departure time.
