Hey all, first post on here!!

We are travelling to DLP on 18 June and flying in at around 18:30 into CDG. I was thinking about booking the TGV to take us straight to the park but it is expensive and also there may be delays etc so don't want to risk losing €70 by missing it. Does anyone have any info as to how flexible they may be? Or can I just pay on the day when we get to the station ?

Hi aircanman,

Welcome to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board.

you don't have to pay for your TGV ticket in advance, you can buy your ticket at the train station inside CDG when you arrive.

We also have in our very useful information sticky (in "travelling to DLP by plane") other options for the journey between CDG and DLP.

There is a flexible ticket and a fixde ticket for the TGV, we had the flexible ones (not much more). We went down to the platform (bottom level marked TGV) by accident, you want the level above (marked SNCF) to collect the ticket from the machine. We missed our train by the time we got back up and changed the ticket (inserted the ticket into the machine and it issued one for the next train).

Unfortunately the next train was 30 mins late so the 12 minute journey was a bit longer than we expected!

We bought tickets right in the station and then we misread the sign and were waiting on the wrong track when the TGV came and went without us. We simply got on the next train and had no problem at all. If the saving is significant I would consider buying in advance but buying when you get there really is a snap. Our train took 9 minutes door to door, I timed it.

It's a 9-12 minute journey, I doubt they would have time to check the ticket, we certainly didn't get ours checked, in fact we didn't really have time to find our seats, we just sat where we could.

I agree, we didn't even try to find a seat we just stood at the top of the stairs. It such a short trip.
