Hi all, trip is suddenly seeming so close! I had always planned to arrive via eurostar, but because I am only travelling one way (flying back to London from Venice a month later) the direct eurostar became ridiculously expensive. so then i thought i would eurostar to paris/RER to DLRP, but it turned out that flying was only 5 euros more expensive with the added bonus that instead of arriving at about 1pm, I can get there around 9.30am. So, that is what I have booked. Now I need to get the airport-resort transfer sorted.
I arrive on a sunday morning, hopefully around 8.30am at CDG. From what I can see, british airways lands at terminal 2, hall B. It seems like a short walk to the TGV station from there, and from reading the website, it looks like there are fairly regular trains on the day I arrive.
* Do you think that one hour will be sufficient to allow me to clear immigration (I am a NZ citizen, even though flying from london so I assume I have to do this?) and collect my case and walk to the station?
* While it looks as though I can pre-book a TGV ticket, given all the things that can go wrong with delayed flights and delayed luggage etc, it seems safest to just wait and buy a ticket on arrival. I am assuming it is all very easy to do - am I correct about that? Given the fact that the trip is only ten minutes long, I don't mind if its standing room only. Is there anything fundamentally flawed in my plan of attack?
many thanks for any advice!
