TGMike is AWESOME!!!!!

I think he's worth the $18 just for his "least-crowded days" chart. Now I've never purchased a UG, so I'm not sure how their charts stack up against his, but I am glad I got TGM. :teeth:

I absolutely agree with this. Although I did find some other good stuff on there too, it was the least crowded day charts that I signed up for.

I think comparing the way TGM's least crowded charts appear to be done with with UG's there is no comparison. I do own the UG book and think it's worthwhile though...

I've never been, this is our first time this Nov. I feel like an idiot, but what is the info I would need to subscribe. Thanks.

Tour Guide Mike had two tips on his site that I have not seen anywhere, and I am the queen of research as DH calls me. I have not seen it on this board or any other, two simple tips that made all the difference in the world!!!! Didn't see it in your pointer Mickman, sorry, no $15 for you!! :rotfl2:

Hmmm... I'm subscribed to TGM's site and I also agree, I've gotten some really useful info there. It was worth the $$ to me. I'm not sure I will always use his site before EVERY trip, but it was useful to read through most of it at least once. That being said, TIFF211 -- I'm REALLY curious what two specific tips you're referring too!?!? :scratchin I know you can't reveal that here but I'm wondering if we could meet up on TGM's boards so you can tell me which ones you're referring too?

I used the UG for my trip 8 years ago and if my feet remember correctly we did a lot of walking to avoid lines. My family thought I was nuts to walk past ride after ride just to get to the first ride on the "list". Have things changed or do both TGM and UG require criss crossing the parks to avoid lines? We avoided most long waits but it sucked the fun out of the trip and my feet were toast by the last day.

For the most part his ideas are pretty much common sense to the over planner, but he knows the parks inside and out, and there is some great info.
What I love the most about the site is the forum (very friendly! and rarely flames) and having every aspect of WDW one site. It is EVERYTHING even the most crazed planner could want. He has pictures, menus, and reviews from him and his subscribers about each and every attraction, dining, service, activity, tickets and packages, hotels, tours,...you name it, he has it. Although it doesn't spit out a touring plan, he has samples, and you adjust to fit your needs. I spent a couple of hours on the boards doing my touring plans for Epcot and MK-I'm set. There is something for everyone!

I am still in Limbo on this till the park hours come out and I can see better what he shows me. So far I am not that impressed. I have gotten just as much information from Passporter but I am still holding my judgement. Only a few more days till I can judge for myself just how good he is.

TGM is definetily not a criss crossing the park type of a plan. One of his touring philosophies is to have a relaxing resort vacation. We used it last year and it definitley made a difference. We did everything we wanted, rode lots of rides and after 7 days we didn't feel like we needed a vacation to recover from our Disney one. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had and we were there with two very active boys ages 6 & 8 at the time. As an example of how much we did in our first day at MK we did 28 attractions, had breakfast at CP, dinner at CRT, took a mid day break and were not racing all over the place. As Mike says we zigged when they zagged.

One question for Mickman: Have you used TGM? I am just curious as you seem to feel it isn't for the repeat WDW visitor. Most, not all but most, seasoned DIS vets that have signed up and used TGM seem to report that it was well worth it. Just wondering if you had used it and it didn't work for you.

Also don't forget about the TGM forum. They are awesome and the people are so nice and helpful. Anyone going late October? The Zag 'N Meet sounds great! :sunny:

I'm a TGM Junkie!

I did check out TGM for about 6 weeks and then cancelled (did not use a plan). Did not find much info I did not already know. For a first timer I think is site would be overwhelming as the site, to me, is very poorly laid out.

I hope everyone who decides to try TGM follows his plan, step by step, otherwise there is just sooooooo much information there you may become overwhelmed.
But -- if you follow the plan (again, step by step) you will find all the answers you are looking for and a definite plan on how to tour the parks etc etc etc. I am an old pro with over 30 visits and I can tell you I never leave for WDW without consulting TGM for all updated info etc.
After using the TGM philosophy I have had the best, most relaxing trips ever. No lines, see and do everything we want, etc etc. Obviously I am a return subscriber for many trips.

I just subscribed this week for our Aug trip and already, I love it! It do agree that it is a little confusing and I am pretty savvy with this stuff typically but I am now getting the hang of it. Obviously a big plus is the least-crowded charts, but there a little tips and tricks that I keep reading about that seem really cool, even if is is just to choose a different path to/from a certain attraction.
We'll see how is goes come August.

I guess I'm missing something. I subscribed to TGM a month or so ago, but I don't really see any special information there that I don't find here or on other forums or guides (e.g., ultimate guide). I can't really say that it was worth the money for me. And I'd have to agree with a previous poster that the layout of the information within the site is extremely poor.

I'm currently 1 month away from my 9th trip in 4.5 years; I could probably walk the parks blindfolded and I couldn't imagine taking a trip without TGM! I believe his info is definitely the difference between a great trip and an OK trip.

Besides that, I love the idea that his boards are "FLAME-proof", he just won't tollerate that cr@p.

I have to admit, sometimes finding what I'm looking for can be difficult. I've been a subscriber now for about 3 years and I spent 15 minutes looking for the calendar clipboard the other day.
