I haven't decided if we will go the end of August or November this year, but can I still sign up for TGM now? Do I have to have my travel dates decided or can I get touring plans for 2 different sets of dates and then decide from there. Has anyone used TGM and gone the week of Thanksgiving? Did his adivce work well for low wait times?

I went the week of Thanksgiving and never waited longer than 15 minutes for anything and that wasn't much. I was there for 9 days so I didn't try to do EVERYTHING everyday.

And you can go ahead and sign up. I'd recommend saying that your trip is in november just to be safe.

You can certainly sign up anytime you want. When you put in the info for you AVP, you can put in the dates that you will most likey go. If that changes, you can also change your AVP. Once you have access to the site, you can view the information for every month, however, you will only be granted access to your specific month's discussion forum (in addition to all of the general forums). If you change months, you will then be granted access to the new month's discussion forums. I have not used TGMike for the week of T-giving, but I have used his advice and touring plans over Memorial Day, 4th of July, week after T-giving and first week of Dec. I find his advice to be dead on. I am planning on using his service again for our trip in March 2007. HTH

I'm not an expert on TGM, but used it for our December trip.

You can sign up now. Let Mike know that you will be going either in August or November. Since it is only one trip, you should pay once. TGM only gives you advice. You make your own touring plan. At first I was really confused, but after about two weeks I started to understand his system.

For example: I picked the attractions in one of the parks. He listed them according to what must be seen first thing in the morning, whether you need a fastpass, or something you can do anytime during the day.

One thing I really followed was what park to visit on what day and whether to visit it in the morning or afternoon.

One thing I want to make perfectly clear is that the best advice you'll get about your trip, you will find on the DIS Boards. This is where I got all the information I needed to pick our resort, restaurants, transportation, and great tips.

I hope this helps.

I used TGM's advice for park days for T-giving week 2 years ago... it was great! The holiday makes that week not a *normal* week and he has some good insight into which parks on which days.

I will not visit Disney again without a TGM subscription. If nothing else, for all the last minute changes he updates for.

You will find lots of advice on the DIS board - what I struggled with was how to determine which advice works for me and which doesn't - b/c back to back posts will have contrary opinions. TGM clearly takes a position and sticks with it all the way through.

Good luck!

We used TGM for our first family trip to WDW the week after Thanksgiving and LOVED it!! I would highly recommend this site, especially since the cost is minimal. Be sure and see about getting a discount code to save a few dollars from mousesavers.com
