TGM or touringplans

i'm new here and i don't want to step on any one's toes. but i have a question. what is the difference between using TGM and touringplans from unofficial guide? has anyone tried them both? i've read the positive things about TGM on a few threads but am curious if anyone has used touring plans.

I love both. I've never actually subscribed to the touringplans site, but I've always bought an Unofficial Guide for each trip. I have two young children (now 4 and 6, but were 2 and 4 our first family trip.) For my family, the TGM touring plans seemed more relaxed than the ultra-commando UG touring plans. We have had two wonderful trips with young kids using TGM's strategies.

On the other hand, DH and I used a UG touring plan on our honeymoon and LOVED it!

Planning a trip is half the fun for me. If it is for you, get both!

I've never used TGM, but have used touringplans. I loved touring plans. They are built commando style, but you can also just use it as sort of a guide if you don't want to tour totally commando. Touring plans is more data / statistically driven while TGM is based on the knowledge of a former CM. Why not try both? Touring plans is only 6.95 per year. And I think you can get a deal on TGM since he is the board sponsor.

I love TGM. We have used his tips and ideas two times to plan our trip!!!! HE WAS RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!!! DH could not believe it and said it sure was worth the money to use his site!!!!!!!

I'm happy to read this, I also bought TGM and will try it on our next trip... My sister and BIL, find it funny... but will let me guide them on our first day to see if it really works... I sure hope it does... ha!

I've used both TGM and the UG and agree with the statement that the UG plans are more commando. That's fine with me but we usually take groups of 25 - 40 - often people that have never been to WDW before. TGM makes a much nicer experience for them. Also, the UG has two great plans - one for families w/ younger kids - another with teens. My wife and I bred irresponsibly and have children in both camps - the TGM plans let you customize easily.
