I just subscribed last night. I am wondering what others experiences have been with TGM least crowded park days. Did you feel like it worked well with you? How closely did you follow his recommendations? :confused3

Thanks for any and all insight.

I already had our itinerary fairly well set when I joined TGM on a whim about a month or so before our trip. I was stubborn, but did adjust a few things. I noticed hands down the stuff I adjusted to his best days/best times were heaven, and the ones I stubbornly stuck to were way more crowded. although even with the crowds, I did stick mostly to his suggestions once in the park and they did work well. but nothing beat those green days! next time we go, I will subscribe again and will plan my days based on his best days.

Hmmm good to know. I may have to see if I can rearrange some ADRs

I am a firm believer in TGM!:cheer2: Mike is def. in the know. Being a former CM and a veteran of 60+ trips I thought I knew it all...not so! We followed his plan in June and it was one of the best trips we took! And it was with 7 very picky people. Not everyone enjoys being told what to do and when to do it but hey, if it works it works. And remebre that TGM is not the the end all. You can use his advise as you see fit. Don't feel you have to follow his plan to the letter if you don't want to. (But if he tells you not to go to a park on a particular day-DON'T GO!!:sad2: )

I'm so glad to read this. I subscribed to TGM about a week and a half ago. It completely changed our "which park, which day" plan and hence all of our ADRs. It's nice to get a little reassurance that it will be worth it.

We only go to the parks on least crowded days and we follow his touring plans completely, omitting what we don't want to see and do and we always come out on top. I've been a TGM subscriber since 2004 and there is no turning back.

Wow, this really seems like a good thing. I am glad I subscribed! Are the touring plans also so effective?

We followed his suggestions in June of this year. It worked great for us following the best days suggestions and using sample tour plans. Our longest line was 15 minutes for Kilimanjaro Safari.

I have subscribed with TGM 5 times.. And I only do it basically for the green days too!! We have used him with GREAT success over Thanksgiving and Presidents Day weekend and found the parks he told us to go to were great! Dead? no.. of course not.. but not the 'so crowded we arent doing that time of year again" crowds that I see people writing about!! We havent done the touring plans.. as we always go with other families.. so its hard to keep everyone together. Plus with the age gaps of the kids.. the older ones always want to run off and do the big thrill rides 10 times in a row each! So I plan every on of my itineraries off of his green/yellow/red park days!

I have used TGM on our last few trips - and although I get some grief (just a little) about following the plans from my family (like "lets see ABC and I say lets follow the plan and see it at XYZ") when they see all the attractions they want and still have time for the pool and to come back later they are all happy. We plan our trip around the green days and our ADR's to. The only advice I don't follow is the character breakfast - we love to have breakfast at Cinderellas Castle. It is a must for us - we just plan accordingly.

We used TGM and it worked wonderfully. Now this was with 6 picky adults who teased me relentlesslty but in the end it was well worth it.

Thank you all for your replies. I am definately excited about having signed up for TGM!! Thank you ALL

Amen mouseketeer_mom! After reading all the folks here say such good things about it, I finally decided to subscribe to see what all the fuss is about. I am still having trouble navigating the site, but I checked his best days with mine.....and mine were all red! Apparently he is right because I was planning (my first trip) based on all the things he said people plan their days around. So, I've changed my days around and think I will be happy I did....his plan gets me more sleep :goodvibes My only hesitation is this question...If lots of people use TGM, won't they all be in the same place that day???? But IThink I 've gotten over it already. I checked outthe touring plans and plan to use parts of them to get my day started, but with my sis's 5y.o. twins....who knows where the day will end! It is their vacation more than mine...my only goal will be to "try" to guide them to things but never push them too hard to stay on a a schedule!

Another TGM believer....(I just wrote about this in another thread!) We used TGM last April over Easter week and had the best vacation except we only had 4 days to do 4 parks and that was just tooo much. Following his best days advice we never waited more that 20minutes for anything. Most was walk on or 5-10 minutes during what is a really busy week!

I am using TGM for our Feb 19th-26th trip, President's week and I can't wait!! 7 days this time....

TGM was right on the money for three days of our trip last week ... New Years Day morning at MK, and Thursday and Saturday at Epcot. But he had Wednesday and Friday listed as best days for MK, and both days it was jam-packed. AK was also extremely crowded on the Tuesday he had it listed as a best day. Those days might have been the way to go on any other week in January, but he seriously underestimated the crowd level of last week.

I recently subscribed. I have provided the touring plans for the rest of the year to all of my friends...I'll let you know how it turns out.

:scared1:

:hippie:

KIDDING!! His stuff is for me only. ;) :yay:
I did read the rules. ;)

I signed up last week and cannot wait until I can report back how great it was. His site has so much great information. Of course, I will not be able to compliment until after the middle of December!

I did sign up based upon all of the reviews both here, other websites and the TGM site endorsements. The main reason I signed up was merely for crowd levels during my visit and I already feel like I made the right choice.

We used TGM our last two trips and it worked great. We didn't wait in any lines for more than 10-15 minutes. Everyone teases me mercilessly. I tell them to do their own thing if they want to. Do they????? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!:lmao: We love TGM and will use him every trip!!!

I've had some of the same reservations listed here:
- Been a million times
- Going during a super busy time (President's Week) so figure all parks will be busy
- Going with someone who likes to go with the flow
- Do not like commando touring
- Don't have a lot of time to play with the site

BUT, all of that said, I think I'm being sucked in - I'll tell you what I think.

friends of ours went the same time we did last year. they were tgm-less. we rode soarin 3 times on our epcot day. they were never able to get on.

i had to change all my adr's 7 weeks out based on what i thought would be our itinerary. it was so worth it.

Another believer here.

I planned our X-mas week trip without him thinking I knew everything. Then in October I kept reading threads about how great his stuff was. I debated subscribing because I didn't want to change those ADR's I made 190 days out!

I caved in and subscribed. I even managed to change 1 or 2 adr's at that late date to accomodate TGM's suggestions!

We were there during the busiest week of the year and didn't wait in any lines over 15 minutes. Saw almost everything we wanted to. (i.e. rode EE 3 times on 12/28)

All Hail TGM!

Kerri
