I have recently signed up for Tour Guide Mike, and I plan to use his best parks for each day plan on my upcoming trip. However, I’m not crazy about getting up early, so I don’t think I want to use his detailed park touring plans. (I can’t believe I’m saying that, as I used to be a commando tourer who followed the UG’s touring plans to the T!) Will I still be OK since I’m going this weekend (in a less busy time period)? Just call me a touring plan rebel. :teeth:

It's hard isn't it? I survived for years in various parks with out a plan, so I'm sure you will do fine. Use fast pass and go armed with all your other knowledge and have fun.

I seem to suffer from "not following a plan" guilt. Our last several trips have been without a specific touring plan (other than which parks which days), and they have gone fine. I guess I'm just a worrier. LOL

I am actually of the "get up and get there before everyone else does" mentality, and unfortunately no one else in my family is. However, they have learned the hard way that at Disney it is better to just suck it up and get their early to avoid the crowds, then in the afternoon when the parks are crowded and we have already seen everything we wanted and more, come back to the hotel and take a nap. Disney is the only place they will do that.

That is the MAIN reason TGM tells you to get there early. I can tell you that with TGM's plan (including getting there early) we are usually DONE at the Magic Kingdom by 1pm.
