Speaking from my experience... I'd add glowtini to every stop! It's my favorite.
Plus, I had to drink three to get three blinky cubes for the kids. What can I say, I'm a giver.

Well our fridge is taking a crapper. Just FANtastic! No, really... I'm excited! I've been waiting for this bad boy to go out so I can get my stainless steel french door Samsung fridge!! Currently the freezer isn't working, and the guy's coming out tomorrow, but cross your fingers it's about to DIE!

Don't tell Andy I'm doing the "Death to the Fridge" dance!

I must be the only person who doesn't like the french door fridge We have one - and stainless too - My 2 biggest complaints...hard to fit large stuff in the freezer (turkey, pizza)...and the stainless fridge - not magnetic. Very disappointed when I couldn't stick any magnets to it. Wish I'd known that. I'd have bought the stainless-finished one...imagine - I'm complaining about not being able to hang pictures, etc. on my fridge doors...man I'm a picky wench...Love the water/ice cubes/crushed ice/light in the door.

And of course...fingerprints...not crazy about those either.

In our house in NH, when Tony re-did the kitchen I bought all Amana applicances and they were da bomb! I had the freezer on the bottom...LOVED IT!!!

I'll join in your dance - I have fantasies about french doors and a bottom-mount freezer drawer!

I'll just leave you alone with your thoughts...

Ok SO I found the epcot drinks graphic thing a few weeks ago...now that I am looking at it I want to change some of the drinks...so I need some help....

Let's go through all the countries and make up a new and improved list and I'll change it on the graphic!

For some reason, all I could think was, WOW - look how neat and organized Kat's itinerary is!! And why do we Americans only get one drink?? SURELY they can come up with more than a daquiri?

I don't like them either LL. When we were getting a new fridge a couple of years ago I looked at them and I thought the same thing...no freezer space

From what I saw, it wasn't a huge increase - 3% on regular MYW, I think.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about some of these... I've NEVER seen daiquiris in the American pavilion! Where are they? And hello?! There's a ton of good pub drinks missing from the UK! Shandies, Black & Tans, Bass, Guiness... As for Canada, I'm pretty sure you can only get the Torontopolitan in Le Cellier.

B. I think they stopped serving it. Too much schnockering.

Yep - not a fan. I've always been rather old school when it comes to booze; I don't like anything too complicated. For shots, I'm partial to tequila (with lemon and salt, natch) or vodka. That's it, no frills.

THAT's why I fantasize about a bottom-mount freezer! I have a side-by-side and I need a much larger freezer section. Thanks to Gramma and her "buy 20 while they're on sale" Lean Cuisines.

Seriously. And a stupid, fruity one at that. What about Jack Daniels? Southern Comfort? Wild Turkey? Jim Beam? Hooch?! Moonshine?!?!

I don't have anything very exciting with which to update, but each update makes it feel a little closer to the trip, so I'm doing one anyway!

I re-packed last night. I'd gotten most of Leo's stuff in a suitcase, and most of my stuff in a suitcase. And still had some room in each. SO I pulled it all out and tried packing it ALL in my suitcase.

That's right. I've reached "pairing down" mode.

It didn't work, though. It would have just fit... but didn't include PJs, blankies or books. Better to stick with two suitcases and some wiggle room. So I re-packed them both and set my sights on pairing down elsewhere...

The air mattress and accompanying sheet set were the first victims of my purge. It seemed like such a good idea initially - but do I really want to deal with the air pump when there's a perfectly good pull-out sofa available for Leo? Nope. Gone. One bag down, two suitcases, an overnight bag, the cooler and a bag of miscellaneous carp (my FockerFest "surprise", and extra waterproof camera, handheld fan, Mickey paper plates and napkins left over from Leo's Bday party) remaining. Can I possibly whittle it down further? Stay tuned.

You all are making me jealous with all this drinking around the world talk. Too much money for my tastes. Not sure yet where I will be using up my spending money but I doubt it will be on drinks. This whole traveling on a budget thing is no fun.
