TFW Meet 2008 The Mission: Wiener Salad & Margaritas - Trip Report Links on Page 1

Guess what?! :hyper: Janet's taking Flat Dawn to the Wienerfest! Woohoo!

She'll have her hands full with how much Flat Dawn likes to drink. Plus, she's loud and a little crazy when she gets in social situations. Poor Janet. She doesn't know what she's in for! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Oh my girls. We haven't even gotten to the month of this trip and you all have next years trip planned and wanting to start the PT.

PS. Oct 15-19 sounds :thumbsup2 to me.

I think I just came up with a reason to renew our APs.:goodvibes

:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I'll ditch D in a heartbeat. :rotfl2:

Wait...maybe he can help...ya know - fly by and pick us all up and drop us off in Florida??:confused3

I was just thinking that I hadn't heard anymore about you moving on from NC. How frustrating.

Yeah - not a peep yet...although my boss keeps mentioning that he wants me to go to Denver with him after this job. Love him dearly, but all I can think of is...BRRRRRRRRRRRR...:faint: When I'd rather be...:beach: .

I'm really nervous about having to sell our house...the market's terrible here. Well, it's terrible everywhere, but when you have to sell, move many states away and then try to buy something else...this is when relocation sucks...:headache:

I'm just hoping that I bought in a great enough neighborhood that it won't take long to sell.

Now I'm really nervous about planning vacations for next year though when I don't have any idea about how financially we'll be doing....But hey - with AP's and DVC points, I know I can at least take 1 vacation!!::yes::

That cruise is sounding better and better though...:rolleyes1

In actual pre-trip news for me, I just called and booked ME and paid my balance. Well, I put it on AmEx, which isn't quite "paying for it" but it counts, right? :rotfl:

Alright! Congrats on paying it off!! Yes, it does count!! Especially if you're getting those AmEx points!!:thumbsup2

I think Andy hide it... no worries, I just went over to Walmart (ewwww!) and got another roll. Watch out ladies I've got 1000 square feet of Laminating paper, and I ain't afraid to use it! :pirate:

Is 11 pounds the "offical" Focker weight gain? That's what I'm up too! :headache: Good luck with WW, girlfriend!

Wait - weren't you just saying you were down with the braces??:confused3

Well, on a good note, I weighed in last night and was down a pound - even with jeans on and not my special light weigh-in pants:rotfl: . They said "what did you do different?" I drank a lot of beer and had a bad, I-don't-give-a-crap attitude about weighing in and it worked!!:cool1: I could be on to something here!

Columbus Day falls on the 12th. I was thinking the 15th-19th, but if everyone plans on the weekend of the 10th, then of course I'll switch.

Columbus Day isn't a holiday for us either...

And this is really an adults only trip?? OMG - Tony would loooove that!! I'm jealous! You guys are so lucky!

OMG, I didn't even think of it when I read LL's post.... that's what I'm up since last year, too! Weird, very weird.

:confused3 I don't know, but in August, I'll be the chubby girl running to greet you all with arms wide open!!!:lmao: Can't miss me!!

Oh hey Kat - way to go on buying your park tix! Did you get 'em right from Disney or somewhere else? I have to buy the tix for my family from November and keep cruising around to different sites...I think I have to buy them by the end of the month to the 5x Disney Rewards on the visa though!

Ok gals...talk to ya'll later!!

undercovertourist dot com. I used them last year to buy PI tickets and they were great! I think they are the cheapest I have found. It's something like $20 savings and any saved money is good money to me!

August Flats

Jo - Flat Rosie
T - Flat Jen (PJV)
V - Flat Michelle
Janet - Flat Dawn

We need someone to have a Flat Rachel!

I think Andy hide it... no worries, I just went over to Walmart (ewwww!) and got another roll. Watch out ladies I've got 1000 square feet of Laminating paper, and I ain't afraid to use it! :pirate:
Oh T :rotfl2:

Oh SNAP!!! :rotfl2:
Hey :headache: :rotfl2:

I paid off my trip today!
And by paid, I mean paid, cold hard electronic cash transfer.

::yes::
:yay:

Well you can all relax, I won't be switching resorts. I called CRO this morning to price things out and all the discounted rooms at WL and AKL are gone. They just released the code this morning too.
Oh dear well at least it will please Janet, Mel etc :rotfl2:

Guess what?! :hyper: Janet's taking Flat Dawn to the Wienerfest! Woohoo!
:goodvibes

Wait...maybe he can help...ya know - fly by and pick us all up and drop us off in Florida??:confused3
Do you think D would go for a detour to England too? :rotfl2:

They said "what did you do different?" I drank a lot of beer and had a bad, I-don't-give-a-crap attitude about weighing in and it worked!!:cool1: I could be on to something here!
You sure could :rotfl2:

::yes:: And then CE can ditch him when we get there:rotfl:

Yeah - not a peep yet...although my boss keeps mentioning that he wants me to go to Denver with him after this job. Love him dearly, but all I can think of is...BRRRRRRRRRRRR...:faint: When I'd rather be...:beach: .

DENVER:eek: Go south my friend, go south!

You could be rich. Market this plan now!::yes::

And this is really an adults only trip?? OMG - Tony would loooove that!! I'm jealous! You guys are so lucky!

I am talking solo in my case. Not sure if it will definitely happen, but I am really trying to work it out!

Oh dear well at least it will please Janet, Mel etc :rotfl2:

::yes::

What about a Flat TE?

Wait a minute... Did someone say Oct. 15-19? I was there last year over those dates. Parks are hot, but not crowded.

I'm so excited to be going on this trip with you all, courtesy of my Pal T! :cool1: I'm going on vacation with T! Yippe!

Wait...maybe he can help...ya know - fly by and pick us all up and drop us off in Florida??:confused3

Alas, he can't just take the plane. :headache: I wish, though!

Good luck. D has a stepsister in Denver, and she actually likes it a lot. There's something along the lines of 300 days of sunshine a year, which she prefers to her native Chicago. There's snow, but... It's not NH, either. ;)

Thanks! I feel better already! :thumbsup2 And I do have good points going...

Woohoo! Ya know, I lost weight in France on the "wine, bread, and cheese" diet. I suppose it was because of the walking, but still. It makes me want baguettes and brie all day!

Well, certainly.

Ummmm. Can I change my mind? Dawn is skeering me:laughing: J/K Dawn LY/MI:hug:

Alas, he can't just take the plane. :headache: I wish, though!

Doh:headache:

Hi fellow wieniefesters!

So T is already to laminate, doesn't Andy know who he is dealing with!

LL - good to see you around. Um Denver, brrrrrr is right! BTW what relocation company does your company use? ( I'm in the industry, though just switched to International Assignments)

Janet - we have to talk if you are thinking solo...

Lessa - too bad about the code

CE, yes it counts and as LL said, AMEX points baby!

Oh and 8 non fuzzy weeks from today I leave with Kelly!!!!!!!

I just got a great rate on a rental car for August! No ME for us. :cool1: This makes up for the code disappointment this morning. :goodvibes

Me too, I got 9 days intermediate on the Emerald Aisle for $140!:thumbsup2

No buses for me! (yes I am a transportation snob as well as resort snob:snooty: )

:rotfl: Me too, my family was shocked that I voluntarily booked POP. They thought for sure I would only ever stay Deluxe.

Hi Mo!!:yay:

Yep....Brrrrrrrrrr....I've got my fingers crossed for Georgia, but I guess as long as it's a nice long-term project then anywhere would be liveable. If I survived all those years in NH, I guess I can live anywhere:worried: Right, CE??:confused3

We use Sirva, but I'm not really crazy about them. None of us travelers (as our company likes to call us) are, but we have a really great - we're talking fabulous - relocation plan as a whole, so I can deal with it. If you ask me, and I think a lot depends on the Sirva rep you get, they get a boat load of money for little to no effort at all. At least they did on my relocation to NC...I ended up having to do all the leg work:furious: .

I'm sure I'll be crying on your shoulder in 5 or 6 months!!

So T is already to laminate, doesn't Andy know who he is dealing with!

:lmao:

I can't even think about printing at this point, in case AirTran changes the flight again :headache:

Janet - we have to talk if you are thinking solo...

It;s not a done deal yet, but I am working on Jim. THe only way I'd probably be able to do it it to stay with my parents, which stinks for the driving back and forth.

I am flopping back and forth on it, becasue we have also been talking about doing DL/Southern Cal when Jimmy is 8 or so (3 years :sad2:), so we should really start to save for that, KWIM? I want to do at least 10 days so we can see more of LA than the LaBrea Tar Pits, the Farmers MArket, the Zoo, and the Staples Center. T, if we go this direction you will be getting lots of emails ::yes::

:woohoo: :woohoo: That's great Lessa.

It's not me... it's Flat Dawn! She's the stinker. I'm an angel.
:rotfl2:

:lmao:

Denver?!?! We'll that's even closer to Vegas, baby! Wonder if we could do a focker/girls trip to Vegas? :rolleyes1
Wait - weren't you just saying you were down with the braces??:confused3
Yup... I've lost 9. 11 more and I'll be back to Lapupalooza weight. :ssst: Do the math... it's sad, really. :worried:

And this is really an adults only trip?? OMG - Tony would loooove that!! I'm jealous! You guys are so lucky!
Our 15th Anniversary is Oct. 15, '09. Andy's already agreed to a WDW trip w/out the kiddos. BUT, if everyone else is bringing kids, then I guess ours can come to.

:confused3 I don't know, but in August, I'll be the chubby girl running to greet you all with arms wide open!!!:lmao: Can't miss me!!!
Don't worry, you won't be alone! OMG, can you image that scene! :rotfl2:
I'm so excited to be going on this trip with you all, courtesy of my Pal T! :cool1: I'm going on vacation with T! Yippe!

I found my laminating paper roll - Evan had it! Now I'm SUPER prepared! Wonder if I can laminate my Passporter? :scratchin:

If you do come to Cali then you'll need to plan for Legoland, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach or Santa Monica pier.... oh and set aside some time for me! :goodvibes

NOW that I could definitely talk Jim into becasue he has NO desire to ever go there!:thumbsup2

V got me wondering about crowd levels when she was planning her July 4th getaway, so I went to Touring plans and checked them out. For the time of Fockerfest the crowd levels and all 5's, 6;s, and 7's. :woohoo:

That is everyone's good news tip of the day.:goodvibes
