So um just reminder of the tour groups LL and V encountered, but there were none the 2nd week of February

I just posted this on the transportation board and thought I would share this with the Fockers...

I booked our August flight last October. I picked both outbound and inbound seat assignments at that time.

With all the changes with airlines these days I have been watching very closely my reservation.

Last week I noticed my inbound seat assignments were missing, so I called was the woman verified my seat assignments, she told me what they were without me having to tell her. SHe said it was common for the website to be wrong.

I checked this week and my inbound flight now has the correct assignments but my outbound have completely changed. So I call again and again without me saying what my original assignment was the man told me the correct assignment. I asked why the website had something different and he too said the website is wrong sometimes.

I point blank asked is the Continental webiste that screwed up and he said OH yeah!

Nice, now I have a greater understanding as to how they overbook flights!

Ok, I don't have a bag packed...however, I DO have a box of stuff packed that will go into my Owner's Locker I'm still so freakin' excited over this Locker...can't even tell you!! Tony thinks I'm nuts, but it will (literally) free us up of one whole suitcase!!!

I loooove the idea of the Owner's Lockers. I just can't rationalize it living 1.5 hours away.

True, but I'll add another tid bit to watch out for in early 2009 - the Superbowl is in Tampa and it's 2/1.... so we can expect a crowded WDW the weeks before and after. I'm thinking 1/24-25 looks nice-ish Or 2/7-8? When the heck is President's Day - I can't find it on my calendar.

Not so much an update as reflection...

A few weeks ago, I needed something to read, that didn't involve typing replies, when I forgot to bring school work for lunch. Tracy had just posted something somewhere and I saw her TR links, so decided to take a walk down memory lane and re-read her TR from last August...

I just finished reading T's version of Lapupabooza, AKA Fockerfest 2007. And I'm all verklmept! OMG, we've all been talking so long since then, I'd sort of forgotten just how much fun it was! Even more then ever, I'm so incredibly excited to see you all again... and to add more Fockers to that mental list I keep under the subject heading "Dear, Dear Friends."

I'll have to show you the list of stuff that will be in my locker...I get giddy just thinking of it!! Ok, ok...an hour and a half is not too bad a distance to lug all that stuff, but...what if you didn't have to??

Just wanted to share a little bit before I go to bed.
As you all know I am taking my dd's bff on this trip. She went with her mom over spring break and mom did not want any help or advice about the trip. She said she had been to WDW in high school. She graduated in 1986. Anyway bff did not have a good time. They only had 3 days in parks with no hopper. Bff wanted to ride TOT and they did not even get to that park. I decided I would take her and show her the fun, hence the name of my trip. Today bff comes by the house and asks if I have an itinerary or anything she can show her mom about our trip. Mom was concerned I was going to drive down with out a plan . I printed out my itinerary, the girls itineraries, the hotel info for the way down, hotel info for while there, complete list of adrs (on itineraries), list of rides we want to not miss, list of cs places we like to eat when at each park, and a note letting her know that at 2 weeks before we leave I will have a map down and know about where we will stop for each meal. . Do not accuse me of not having this trip planned.

Oh to be a fly on the wall when she ready that

Look what came today I didn't even know it was included in our package, we booked through WDW UK and it did say something about a backpack but I didn't know what it was!

Which saved us a whopping $200!!!

Went over to Kohl's last night... yeah, my wallet is crying right now. I found some really cute tanks for vacay on sale for $8.99 color me happy! Here's the best part... I bought a size smaller than normal!! I've lost 9 pound since last Tuesday! Need to lose another 10-15 and then I'll be happy(ish)!

Hmmm...I'm not sure when President's Day is...ok, well what about mid-to-late February or early March? There's got to be a good, low-crowd time to get away for a quick weekend...

Pres. Day is 2/16... UG says anything in late Jan. and up to Feb. 14 is pretty good, as is the second weekend in March (3/7-8). Past that is insantiy.

That's awesome Janet! I nearly always forget to pack belts and I have a couple pairs of "magically growing shorts" - you know, the all cotton kind on which the waist band strteches throughout the day until you have to continually pull them back up?!

Way to go girls! I wish I had that problem. I think I've gained about 11 pounds since last year...once I started that stupid blood pressure medication I can't freakin' stop "bulkin' up"! Even WW isn't helping much...all that's doing for me is having some cranky old lady watch me gain weight every week and snarkily pointing it out to me on Wednesday nights...
