My kids both had books that were part of the curriculum in kindergarten. Is it that unusual to use texts in school?

Can someone please write this into Webster's?Are you a teacher or a teacher's assistant? Is this a public school? Why does it bother you that your principal wanted you to hand out your students' textbooks before your maternity leave? I don't understand the problem with that part. I'm sorry you were upset, though.
The rule people, quote the first post.
Where do you teach? Is it in the US?
skipping all the other obvious things that have been pointed out and getting straight to - How the heck did you have a stack of books in your room that you didn't know what they were or why they were there and not FIND out?
I find that very hard to believe or even want to believe.
I guess you aren't teaching to the curriculum if you didn't even know there were textbooks.
I just thought that maybe Kindergarteners are a little to young to handle textbooks.

No, I knew that they were textbooks.
I've already handed them out. I was just concerned about the way that the kids would treat the books.I sent a letter home saying "Oh, your child is bringing home this textbook bla bla bla."

I agree that Kindergarteners are a little TOO young to handle textbooks.
If you are really a teacher I will weep into my keyboard. This absolutely must be a joke. You're not going to even acknowledge your gross misspellings of such common words?

No, it's Rich somebody. I'll think of his name. Back in the nineties, he had a whole act and a series of books on "skewed" words and their meanings. Tall, shaggy but neat brown hair... Rich Hall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Is that definition according to Jeff Foxworthy or Larry the Cable Guy?![]()
Were they spelling text books??![]()
Please tell me you didn't mention the "princable" in the letter?![]()
