We were our own country at one time. Just put us between the US and Mexico. And you can raise all six of our flags. Plus we have the 15th largest GDP in the world, I think that should qualify us. I think we could manage to get the sponsorships also to make it happen. :cool1: .

If not then please Disney build a new park in North Texas. I can't believe in all this time you haven't taken advantage of building a park in the middle of the US.:confused3 We got the largest airport in the US and plenty of land. If you build it they will come.

Well you can also state that anything beyond the original 13 colonies were their own country at some point :dance3: So does that mean anything beyond the 13 get a spot?

The 1964 New York Worlds Fair (where Walt probably got the idea for Epcot) had some pavilions for states as well as for other countries.

Is central Texas more or less brutally hot and humid compared with central Florida? I remember one visit to Texas (east; Houston) during an early September heat wave.

But I think that hot climate did not faze Walt back in the 1960's when he was looking for the site for WDW. I doubt he would have located the parks in a snowy part of the country, though.

There is a Texas in the World Showcase, its called Mexico

:lmao:

To the OP:
Really? Texas is represented with the other 49 states in The American Adventure. So it's already part of World Showcase, along with New Hampshire, Louisiana, California, etc. You can only do so much with one pavillion.

Secede first. Please.

The Houston area is hot and humid and smells of sulphur cause of all the oil refineries. The Dallas area is just hot without the humid part and doesn't smell. The difference from Florida and North Texas (DFW metro area), is that Florida is sub tropics with rain everyday. In Texas we get some rain and it comes fast and heavy, but blows through rather quickly and sometimes with some strength (ever heard of Texas Twisters?). But then it goes away and the skies return to normal. Also North Texas is protected from Hurricanes, they never blow up that far into Texas.

I was thinking build the park somewhere to the North of Dallas. There is lots of land between there and Oklahoma (Indian Country) you can buy on the cheap and still be pretty close to the airport.

We get on average 2 days of snow a year, and it is just lite snow. But it does start to get cold by the start of November. The temps usually stay in 40-50s range until March comes along then starts heating up until mid summer averages of 90-100s.

Live in Plano, don't want a Disney in Plano, thanks :)

A visit to the Texas pavillion:
"Oh look, sand! Oh look, a cactus!"...
"Oh look, an oil well, oh look, cow dung!"...
"Why are we in frontierland??"
