Please let me take a few moments to thank each and everyone of you Texans who have opened up their homes and hearts for our Southern citizens.

What your governor is doing is simply amazing and while I know every state in the nation is doing something, Texas has gone above and beyond.

God Bless you, your state and your Governor.

I am very proud of the way my fellow Texans have responded. I live very close to the Louisiana boarder and my city has over 2000 evacuees in various shelters. Alot of these families have just the clothes on their backs and nothing more. My wife and I were actually preparing for a garage sale before this tragedy. We have decided to bring the clothing and toys to a shelter to be distributed to the families that need them. I urge all my fellow DISers to give money to the Salvation Army or Red Cross. For those of you who cannot give money, please pray for these people. Unfortunately, there is going to be no quick fix for this tragedy.

Hey, it's not only Texas that's helping. We're doing our part in the rest of the state of Louisiana. My son just had three kids added to his homeroom this week. Kids from South Louisiana.

But we do appreciate Texas's help. And Arkansas's and Oklahoma's.
