Texas de Brazil? or Ohana's?

Hello everyone;
We are exploring some of our dining options for our next visit. My family and I are all foodies, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me about Texas de Brazil and/or Ohana's? The general concept seems to be the same (sit-down all-you-can-eat-meat), but I'm trying to decide if TdB is worth the higher cost?

On our trip this spring, we choose Ohana over Texa Debrazil because it was a short walk from our hotel. It was decent but my boss RAVES about Texas Debrazil and I would try there next trip.

It sounds like the food selection is much more extensive with an incredible salad bar and appetizer bars.
At ohana, you wait for the food to come to you, sometimes it's there too early, or you end up sitting and hoping you'll get another helping of your favorite.
At TD, you turn your light thinging over when you want more service and they promptly arrive at your table.

Texad De Brazil and 'Ohana are very different. 'Ohana is very family focused and have games to keep the children occupied. They have only 4 meat selections and the meat is not of the highest quality, sometimes tough to chew. At Texas De Brazil, there are 14 types of meat and the most amazing salad bar. They also serve wonderful Lobster Bisque. 'Ohana serves lettuce as their salad, nothing else in it, but I love the dressing they have. They also have these great little dumplings.

You said that you are wondering if the extra cost is worth it for Texas De Brazil, but if you sign up on the Web, they tend to send quite a few coupons. We have generally only paid $25-30 a person when we eat there so 'Ohana ends up about the same price.

I would say that my decision would come down to the age of the children in the party, whether you will have a rental car and want to go off of property, and the amount of time you want to spend on dinner. It takes us about 30-45 minutes longer at Texas De Brazil. Also, one thing to know is that sodas are not refillable at Texas De Brazil for free, so it gets pricey if you drink soda and want more than one.

My answer is that if you are going strictly for the food aspect, Texas De Brazil would be the way to go. If you are looking to have something the kids would really enjoy from an overall experience and strictly a Disney experience, 'Ohana is the way to go.

I would really like to try Texas de Brazil.

The food choices, quality, service, you name it favors TDB. Much better experience and most importantly great food. Even if the cost is higher, and with discounts it may not be, the value is much greater at Texas De Brazil.

Hmmmm..... if the discount is still available, that can change things.

We will definitely have a rental car, so no problems getting to either place.

What to do, what to do.....

Submit your email on the Texas De Brazil website for 2 for 1 or other discounts. If you get a good discount I'd go to Texas De Brazil.

Would there be enough sides for kids under 6 to enjoy? DH would love this place but I'm thining our kids aren't much meat eaters. Or should we try it and feed them before and have them snack on sides since they are free anyways.
Also is the closest location by the outlets??

The only one is on I-Drive.Sign up on the link I provided and you automaticaly get 25% off your bill.
As far as the kids stop by Mcdonalds or something before going. The food is Brazilian fare and I'm sure that kids under six would like much there except desert that they can share while you induldge in some of the best food in Orlando.:thumbsup2

After following these posts, I suddenly realized.... DD is SIX!!!
So that now makes TdB (with the promotional discount, and DD dining free) our definitely choice over Ohana's.

Thank you everyone! Yay!

If given the option I would always pick the place outside of Disney.

I eat in Disney for convenience and time savings only.
It was not always this way, but unfortunately it is now.

We will have a vegetarian in our group: any chance they have fish as an option? Or enough vegetable sides to make a meal for her? THANKS!

I went to the website, looked over the menu and signed up for their emails. Within minutes we got a welcome with a 25% discount coupon. WOW!
Only problem is the coupon expires before our trip, so just before we go I'll have my wife sign up from work and get another.
Thanks for all the great advice. This place looks great.

OK.. I called and got pricing.

44.99 for adults
5-12 22.50
6 and under free

now the question...

We would be with 4 kids. ages 6, 10, 10 and 15

We were planning on several meals on property at sit downs. Would this be too much for a 6 year old to handle? I want to go. He does pretty good in resturants and did well in Disney last year.
