Texas A&M at Galveston -- Sea Camp

Does anyone have any experience with this camp? Is it worth the money? Do you actually learn or is it all fluff? Anyone in the area hear anything on this camp? Any issues, etc? Thanks!

One of my best girlfriend's son attended two weeks ago...I can ask her and followup.

If she goes, one thing to remember, this is Texas. It's hot, really hot. And the sun is much more intense on the coast than anywhere else i've been. Lots of water, sunscreen and bug spray. My son wasn't drinking as much water as he should and lost his voice 3 days in.

I will definitely pack extra sunscreen and bug spray if she goes. :thumbsup2

That would be great Vicki, not only for me but for Colleen too! :flower3:

Good advice!! I forget that people from other places don't at all realize how brutally hot it is all the time here. It's not a heat wave for a few days or something, it's hot all the time. Even at night.

And on the TAMUG campus in the summer, the mosquitos will carry you away... It's surreal, the clouds of them. And heaven help you if you step off the sidewalk into the grass -- you really might get carried away, lol. Bring LOTS of bug spray to Sea Camp. :thumbsup2
