Well I just bought my Teva sandals last night. :cool1: I have them on today and hope they are comfortable all day. I really don't want to wear tennis shoes in the park in late August. Convinced Husband to get a pair as well. Now just have to find something for the kids. Lands End has a new sandal out that looks good for them. Does anyone wear the Tevas or kids use the Lands End sandals that can give me their opinion? Now just need to find the right bag! Thanks

I can't help you with any info on the Lands End sandals but I can tell you that my whole family has teva's. I have 5 pair, my dh has 2, my ds has two and my dd 1. The kids shoes have been passed between my ds, to my nephews then back to my dd and they look great. The kids say they are comfortable and I have found them great for the parks, especially if they happen to go on any wet rides or walk through the fountains in Epcot. I have purchased kid sized tevas at SierraTradingPost.com and Teva.com. I'm not sure if it is still true but teva.com used to ship kids shoes for free (but you had to order via phone and ask for it).

What type of Teva's do you own/wera in the park? I am going in Sept. and want to wear sandals, but would love to be able to wear the Teva Elixer or Hurricane Slide. Has anyone worn these in the park?

I just got 5 pair of Kena Tevas. I wore them last year at Disney and love them. :cool1:

LOVE my Teva Pretty Rugged sandals in both leather and nylon. No more blisters.

I use Teva's (Stratum style, now discontinued but similar to the Terra Fi style)

We went two years ago in August and these were the best shoes I could have worn. We had daily, heavy downpours and I was so glad I didn't have to walk around in wet, mushy sneakers. These dried off so quickly. No problems with blisters and they were so comfortable ~ plenty of arch support and shock absorption so no achy feet at the end of the day.

My kids use Lands End sandals. Two years ago my girls both had Lands End sandals and had a slight problem with blisters/rubbing under the strap that goes on the back of the ankle, but after the first day I used Body Glide on their feet and that eliminated the problem. The new Lands End sandals that I bought this year now have a piece of padding on that area so I don't anticipate any more blister probelms from that.

DD7 has these:

DD9 has these:

I highly recommend Body Glide to prevent blister no matter what shoe you wear.(you can get at any sporting store, I got mine at REI.)

To the PP, last Sept, I wore my Teva Elixir all week and LOVED them. At the end of the day, my feet never hurt. They were very comfy. I plan to take them with me in Sept. I also have Crocs, but I really love the support of the Teva Elixir's, and will probably wear them most of the time. And, hey, I'm a flip flop girl. LOVE the Teva's!!

I have two pair of mush flip flops, terra fi, hurricanes and pretty rugged. My favorites are the pretty rugged nylon... LOVE these! I also wear my terra fi alot. They both have good arch support. The hurricanes are great for camping but not walking all day, imo. I find the soles of my feet feel sore if I walk in these all day. And the mush are cushioned flip flops. Some people love flip flops for the parks but I find they aren't great to walk in for a long period of time. It all depends on what you like. But I would definitely recommend Pretty Rugged (nylon or leather) or Terra Fi.

I purchased a pair of lands end sport sandals for my niece last summer and they were GREAT! They are very sturdy and well made. She ran around like a maniac all summer in them and never had a complaint. She wore them to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure with no problems.

I got my step kids crocs (of course! ) but i also got my stepson a pair of Timberland sport sandals which are very sturdy and supportive and my step daughter a pair of stride rite sandals. They are good shoes if only b/c they are supportive and not flat. I'd say lands end are pretty comparable in comfort to Stride Rites and Timberlands.:thumbsup2

My kids love Tevas. I bought them at Kohl's last year but they don't carry them this year for some reason (only checked our local one, though). I will check out those websites a pp mentioned (thanks!).
But I agree with the others- Tevas are great shoes!

I wore them last year for my entire trip! I loved them. I can't stand anything on my feet more than a flip flop when its hot so Elixer is what I wore. AND I was the the one who went very fast to get Fast passes when the gates opened ;) And I'm not young either :teeth: No problems, I love them :thumbsup2 I have 2 of the grayish blue, 1 pair of the tan ones and a pair of the black ones. This year I bought the Elixer 5, (I think they were)
the new ones are just as good.

I can't leave home without them :goodvibes

Hey there everyone! Those of you who already have Teva sandals (specifically the Pretty Ruggeds), did you get the size you normally wear or do you have to go a size lower or higher? Thanks.

I bought the size I normally wear (7) and they fit wonderfully. In genereal, though, they do tend to run a little on the large size.
